Proof of what? Why didnt the article cite the pc used in the affidavit? There is no comment from the neighbor or NOPD in the article, just a one sided version of events initiated by his actions as a poor neighbor.

No matter what, would you want that guy backing you up?

The complete and utter lack of tactics was what led me to believe this wasn't real. Going into a house alone with your back to another person in the same room? Putting the family jewels right in a position to get popped good?

Too many things adding up that made this look staged.

Absolutely not. Ive seen women struggle less in these type situations. He seemed as if he was not willing to use any force, which lets me know he is either unsure if he has the right to arrest the man or he's a full blown pansy. He pushes his code button on his radio, which was an automatic ass whooping back in the day because the officer was in deep crap. I would've pimp slapped the officer for coding over this lovers spat.

Byrd: The new Washington war machine - The Daily Iowan

If you’re having a bad day, I highly recommend watching a video produced by the Des Moines Register in which Washington police officials try to justify the possession of a vehicle it clearly has no use for. The excuses range from school shootings (which are an actual concern but an MRAP seems like overkill) to a terrorist attack happening in central Iowa (because if there’s any place that seems ripe for a high-profile terrorist attack it’s Washington, Iowa, population 7,000).
In all seriousness however (and it is hard to be serious about a situation so absurd) this little anecdote does highlight several disturbing trends in the American cultural landscape. Most blatantly, the collective paranoia that’s gripped post-9/11 America so tightly that small-town Iowa police officers are convinced that, any minute, the whole state could become engulfed in some Red Dawn-style conflict that would require the use of a device such as the MRAP.

But, a little more subtly, this incident reflects the out-of-control militarization of the police that’s been occurring across small towns and big cities from Los Angeles to Waterville, Maine.

The only justification of a town that size having an MRAP other than the cool toy factor would be for an EOD type unit. They have needs for armored vehicles for an emergency fall back type situation where they can't get to safety quick enough.

Other than that, it's nothing more than a cool toy that I can flat guarantee you will be used in little more than parades and as a show piece.

The Los Angeles Times reports that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has admitted to mistakenly shooting and killing 30 year-old John Winkler, an aspiring television producer. Winkler, 30, was shot after he rushed out of an apartment. Three deputies thought he was a stabbing suspect who had held people hostage and fired.

Deputies Kill Aspiring TV Producer By Mistake

Whoops sorry!..The officers went home safely at the end of their shifts, that’s the important thing.

Why is this not murder?
