Come to think of it...... I don't know that I've ever seen anyone give a cop the finger.

While I agree it's your constitutional right to do so...... I think it's a really dumb thing to do. Why instigate a confrontation that you have no chance at winning?

I was, more or less, speaking to everybody else anyway. I didn't really expect the person who made the argument to realize how asinine it was.

The guy was armed and dangerous. I think the police were justified in this situation.

Are you trying to compare someone sitting still where a well trained marksman has the opportunity to shoot a gun out of his hand (risky move that it was) and this situation where a guy is walking and you have normal patrolmen on the street?

The guy WAS walking down the street shooting a rifle ..... While it looks harsh as hell doesn't this fit the criteria for deadly use of force?

Let me ask you a question.....honest answer. You are at a ballgame and you have witnessed a florida fan being a douche for the past hour. Tennessee fan (with overalls and no T shirt on) politely tells the Florida fan he has heard enough. Florida fan shoots him a birds. Tennessee fan slaps the crap outta him. You making the same argument that you are in this situation?

How can you expect local police forces to afford these?

They're too busy buying drones, tanks, and c4 to afford such things.

I am sincerely not trying to avoid answering the question. With that said… I feel like the setting, circumstances, and people involved are so drastically different that I don't know if I can.
