Aggressively weed out the unfit people from police departments. Start by administering rigid tests of their knowledge of civil laws. Then administering personality tests such as the scientifically validated Brig-Meyer, and maybe the Protagonists (ENFJs) as well. They would help weed out the sadists, anti-social, violent inclined, and others unfit to be police officers.

Weird thing I’ve noticed here in Norfolk is the absence of police where they would normally be found before covid. There is one Main Street I use to travel to work and normally I would see 3 to 4 PO on that route. Nothing. Only see them at accidents and large in the city events.
I hardly ever see anyone pulled over or being ticketed. Not that I mind the absence it’s just noticeable.

I read both HB 0977 and SB 0827, unless I missed it I didn‘t see any mention of allowing officers to carry while intoxicated. Is that an amendment to the original bill?

This case is nuts. Someone kills young lady. Signs point to cop. Investigators ignore signs. In questioning a love interest who was a black WR at Wyoming, cops asked him if he knew any other black athletes that knew her that they could question. You can hear this on audio in this pod episode. Mind you, there is literally no reason based on evidence to think it was a black man who did the deed. They proceeded to hound several black football players (who didn't even know her) for questioning and DNA. IDK why any of this is ever shocking to me. This is America.

This is a disgusting video to watch. That poor woman was mistreated at Fort Sanders and then again by the police, who essentially killed her by suffocating her to death.

Honestly, the police could have done a way better job. Unfortunately, they were given bad info from the hospital. Fort Sanders and KPD are going to be paying out a huge amount of money.
