To Protect and to Serve II

If there is a human and/or a computer involved then yes…. Ever typed a simple word document and it disappeared?
I once worked on a spreadsheet for over five hours. When I went back to finish it, I discovered that I had not saved it so I had to do it again.
I actually asked because I was unsure if it was lost or someone made sure it was “lost”.
He really screwed his life up and the lives of his family will suffer also.

That resisting arrest charge is like the most ridiculous thing out here at this point. They throw that charge around like Mardi Gras beads. it was one of these stories I read about the other day (probably the old lady that had dementia that was accused of shoplifting???) where the cops accused them of resisting arrest for tensing up their arms.
Gov Lee mandated reporting on all use of force incidents. Use of force is soooo hard to quantify. Basically, anything out of the ordinary is a use of force. Consequently, some view this as resisting arrest. It IS resisting, but it was so inconsequential cops didn’t do anything about it because the paperwork wasn’t worth it. I don’t like it but I understand why it’s happening

No telling how many retail clerks have been spared by putting an addict in jail for the night on a possession charge
Exactly. There is no way to tell.

Again, how many lives could you save if you ran road blocks everywhere? Or how many lives could you save if you didn't need search warrants?

Usually (not certain about this particular case, but speaking in general), these "domestic calls" are usually conflicts between family members or girlfriend/boyfriend. Police don't need to be inserting themselves in a majority (I didn't say all, I said a majority) of these beefs.
Jesus Christ 😂😂😂🙄

Have you checked your license plate bulbs lately? I'd hate for you to get thrown in jail for one of them being burned out, and heaven forbid you tense up while they put the cuffs on you, so they can change you with resisting arrest. BTW have you ever heard of anyone get arrested and not be charged with resisting?
People are arrested everyday and not charged with resisting. This is ridiculous over generalizing and made up BS. Lol how many people have you met get thrown in jail for a license plate bulb 😂😂😂

late/early night so I would love to add to this thread but WTF are we talking about? because IDK.
The anti police are complaining because they don’t want police to ever:
- do traffic stops
- work domestic violence calls
- arrest drug dealers
- arrest people who commit trespassing on others property and refuse to leave

All because of their lack of understanding of actual laws and police procedures and also because they had or heard of a bad experience of a bad cop in podunk county 20 years ago and it must mean all the hundreds of thousands of officers are bad everywhere

But drugs are already illegal so. Arrest all the druggies and make them pay through the nose until they stop killing people at convenience stores.

No, its never worked out very well. It’s gotten worse since our idea of prison has changed to punishment instead of rehabilitation.
No, it got worse when Obama came to office. It usually does well under R leadership and US attorney offices.

The way drug laws are enforced, cops routinely violate the 4th Amendment and the court system violates the 8th Amendment with their ridiculous sentences for possession and distribution.

And your comment about "Arrest all the druggies" is ridiculous pre-crime talk.

Some say your talk is ridiculous. Police have conducted what you call “pre-crime”, operations for a century. Hell, a “Terry” stop is a form of your pre crime infatuation

I don’t believe the bold at all. Warehousing millions of people can’t be done well. We need to look at alternatives.
