I guarantee you that cops violate the rights of citizens everyday without any ramifications. I would say that at least 50% of traffic stops are unconstitutional.

Sounds like a federal investigation is definitely in order. But we are talking about 7 officers. The smart thing would be to have the sheriff take over that cities calls for service and jurisdiction which he sounded like he was angling for anyway. My guess is they will be disbanded soon

Thanks for sharing this. My family drives this stretch if we vacation in Florida/Alabama. I feel lucky to have avoided the traps and will plan future trips accordingly. The lack of institutional control is disturbing and looks more like organized crime.
