To Protect and to Serve II

Weird, you’d think that barging in unannounced to a “trap house” they would have found some drugs.
Their connection was that the drugs was coming via UPS and FedEx to their house for Jemarcus. He was seen there picking it up every week. And they have undercovers that bought it. He listed that address as his with permission of both of them including Walker who Jemarcus helped get a job he was about to start at .... UPS. Look at the facts of the case. Not headlines.

Yes drug activity is all about crime. Violence, murders, extortion, theft, robbery, terrorism, human trafficking, etc etc etc. it covers a lot of area. I’d estimate roughly 75% of crimes in Knoxville are related to drug activity
Then arrest them for the violence they commit. Not for the substance they possess.

The substance they possess is the reason the cause the violence and crimes they do There’s no legitimate reason ever no matter your beliefs for someone to be high on heroin or meth and driving or walking around in public or watching kids or anything like that

Yeah, and the prisons filled with non violent drug offenders and the cost that comes along with it says hello. Crimes have victims, the state cannot be a victim simply because they declare something to be illegal. It’s stupid and the taxpayers have been paying for those mistakes since Nixon declared his war on drugs. Personal responsibility is paramount in a so called free country.

I said time and again that I don’t care what people do in their homes. The issue is that these crimes affect other people. I’ve never once found a dude smoking a joint in his home on another call and been like yep you are going to jail. NEVER. 99% of my drug arrests were always because of other charges as well (DUI, child abuse, theft, assault, domestic, felony drug dealing, shooting etc)

People on drugs tend to do stupid sht that attracts law enforcement
Go down to KARM and watch the psych people on meth as they smash windows in businesses, fight and stab and rape each other, OD on a street with their kids left alone, and try to rob and panhandle people going out with their families to eat.

Get real. The war on drugs is nothing more than a government overreach to gain access to people’s lives and property. It’s not a war on drugs, the cia has long been known to traffic drugs, it’s a war on people.
I agree it’s a multi tiered problem from the 60s thru now. But the ones who make it worse are the ones who think that using illegal drugs is ok or not that big a deal or a “stick it to the man” without realizing the damage not just to individuals but society. It is the worst thing in our country crime wise because it by itself (along with mental illness) is responsible for the great majority of violence we see

There is a lot to unpack here. You just named every major crime in the book revolves around drug dealing. Extortion, human trafficking and terrorism?

Does wearing a hoodie and driving with tinted windows mean that someone is in violation of the Mann Act as he's exchanging hookers and cash from blackmailed politicians for ISIS made IEDs?

How else will they be able to fund their covert operations???
