Your inability to see anything beyond the two extremes is not helping you to win anyone over. You seem to think either you support cops 100% or you want them all dead. Asking that cops be held accountable for their actions is not the equivalent of wanting them beaten or killed. Cops deal with lots of ****** people but that doesn’t mean every person they encounter deserves to be treated like second class citizens. These are nuances that seem to be well beyond you.3 years ago or not, I'm glad you are ok with the video.
Reason BLM was brought up is because of their hatred of law enforcement and calls for violence against them.
Keep in mind this officer was trying arrest a resident of this housing project who had just assaulted another lady that lives there. Yet here the residents are assisting the cop, even kicking him in the head so the criminal can get away, then celebrating it.
Feels good to you doesnt it?

You ASSume a lot.BS.
I am all about cops being held accountable when they are guilty. But most itt want them thrown under the jail everytime there is a shooting regardless of the facts.
However not one cop basher itt has commented negatively on the video above where the cop was kicked in the head and assaulted by a cheering mob. Guess he had it coming for trying to arrest a guy that just assaulted a girl that lived there.
I won’t condemn it because I thought it was pretty funny. Thankfully no one was hurt. The response to it has been hilarious and frightening at the same time. Call it a market response to the “services” they provide.Still no comment or condemnation I see...shocking. we are all shocked. However God forbid a police officer ask racist Henry Gates for ID, Obama trips over himself to call the police stupid for it.
So someone reports a guy breaking into a house through a window, when cops get there Gates answers door and police should take his word for who he is? Why not just show your ID and be done with it? Makes perfect sense to verify information...well to most people anyway.I won’t condemn it because I thought it was pretty funny. Thankfully no one was hurt. For the record, you don’t have to submit ID unless you’re suspected of a crime.
Edit: of course I’m speaking of the water incident.
Sure, but in every day instances cops can’t just walk up to people and demand ID. That’s now how this works here in America. My stance on most issues is very simple. I’m against the initiation of violence, plain and simple. So someone reports a guy breaking into a house through a window, when cops get there Gates answers door and police should take his word for who he is? People ignoring your infantile posts is not a commentary on the video.BS.

pending the outcome of the Department of Justice investigation and court proceedings.
Standard procedure until case and/or I/A is concluded.
Innocent until proven guilty mean anything any more?
They may or may not deserve it but due process is due process. There’s a huge difference in saying they don’t deserve due process (though they’re almost certainly guilty of taking it away from god only knows how many people*) and they don’t deserve to be financially supported by the tax payers throughout the process.
*I know literally nothing about his case other than skimming over the article. With that said, the bar for indicting law enforcement is so insanely, unreasonably high that I wouldn’t hesitate a single second to bet a paycheck they’re guilty af.
This just keeps getting sketchier for HPD

Some states have Police Officers Rights Codified.
Law Enforcement Officers' Bill of Rights - Wikipedia
The officer can only be questioned or investigated by sworn officers. This prohibits civilian review boards, or any review by anyone other than police officers.[5] This results in other officers acting as judge and jury rather than a neutral third party
