Honestly the cops were screwed any way they went. They started with less lethal, the guy used a chair to block the bean bags. Before they could close to taser he took a hostage. If they had shot him from the jump they would be racist executioners. They didn’t and things got worse. If they let him kill that woman they’d be heartless. If they shot the guy and hit the woman by mistake they’re back to being racist executioners. I know the family is sad but I don’t know what they wanted the cops to do. They went by the BLM playbook and it got an innocent killed.

“Around the country, towns with shrinking tax bases and rising costs have been forced to make hard choices. In some cases, that has meant merging local police departments or cutting them altogether. Earlier this year, Brooksville, Fla., shuttered its 30-person police department and handed law enforcement duties over to the local sheriff. Other departments have disbanded after problems; Galesburg, Mich., for instance, closed its police department in January after firing the chief,” said the NYT.

“Small towns are having this discussion around maintaining the most basic functions of local government, police services being one of them,” said Josh Garcia, the acting town administrator for Blandford.

It seems as the NYT has discovered the next emerging trend: The Collapse of police departments in rural America.

It's a tough call on the worst police shooting I've seen.... the hallway shooting may very well be it.

explain? so he had to put him in a choke hold as the first thing in the arrest? they could have simply called for someone to bring the warrant. crazy how you probably think that its ok for cops to just pull up and say "hey I got a warrant for you, come with me to jail". no proof whatsoever.

1. Let's get this straight, right off the bat, this guy did not deserve to die. Period. End of story.



2. It is rare that anyone on patrol would have an arrest warrant on them--I think there might be some confusion having to show proof of a search warrant there...maybe/maybe not.
3. The officer who hopped on the tractor asked the other officer "It's confirmed?"--meaning, is the warrant confirmed through dispatch through this person's DL, name/DOB, etc--the other officer stated that it was.
4. The man shrugged away the officer's hands when he attempted to grab him by the wrist, then jumped at the officer who was attempting to get onto the tractor in a threatening manner....game on.
5. Even still, the officer whose body cam is what I assume the video comes from, continues to address the man as "Mr. Frank"...
6. At no point did their level of force exceed the level of threat. Mr. Frank was even slumped over and talking up until the point where they got him on the ground.
7. Given the fact that he had already actively fought not to go to jail, it's not unusual for someone to just go limp.
8. No one wanted that outcome. Body cam officer stated several times that he can take a look at the warrant when he gets to jail...that's his due process.

Yep, no worries. They won't stick you with a bogus charge when you go downtown or just murder you in broad daylight with no repercussions aside from paid vacation time. Yep, everything is fine.

I don't believe that you need arrest warrants on your person like you do a search warrant. Would you let Ted Bundy go just because you don't have the right paper work? However, choke holds like that are banned by many PD's for good reason.

They escalated to violence and willfully ignored the cues that indicated this man was not OK. This is homicide.

If you don't know what the warrant is for or specifics about said warrant, then that cop can go f himself. And I don't give a **** what his little buddy on duty says, it changes nothing.
They also had no business asking for ID. And he should have never gave it to them.
Unless you are okay with a "papers, please" society, which I'm sure you are.
But whatever, this will end up being the murdered dudes fault somehow, and **** will just get worse. Big damn shock no one respects or believes the police anymore.

Act like the Gestspo and don't be surprised when treated as such.

I arrest people all the time for warrants that I know little to nothing about. It's more common than not that I know nothing about the circumstances that occurred in order for someone to get a warrant taken out on them...but...if someone is being cool with me, I can ask my dispatch what the warrant is for, if there's a bond, etc. It's something I do quite often and have (twice recently) even had people thank me for taking them to jail...or at least been cool with them, which is what I think they mean. However, if someone acts like Mr. Frank, we just go to jail. I give respect until it's time not to.

Also...I know nothing about this situation, other than the video, so I can't speak as to why they were out with Mr. Frank in the first place but...calling them the Gestapo...oook.

You mean to tell me that you would willingly go with a total stranger that claims you committed a crime or is wanted for a crime, when that person arresting you has no damn clue why they are picking you up to begin with?
