To Protect and to Serve II

Is that not an example of an authority figure taking advantage of a child who was taught to respect authority?

And would I child taught to question authority not be more likely to speak up in that scenario?

"Respect" does not mean "refuse to question".

I don’t know what those children were taught. I’m not sure if they can even tell you what authority is what.

Children should be taught respect and how to act properly. They should also be taught what appropriate behavior from others is, such as people touching them inappropriately.

Simply saying they shouldn't respect authority or they’ll be raped is asinine.

I'm not saying make your son a gutless pansy..... but he better respect your authority.

If I said I had 1 or 50 it wouldn't make a difference in the validity of my argument. If you teach your kids the importance of respecting authority, don't be shocked when the priest rapes them

Ah well if you teach your kids to disrespect authority why would they listen to you? You would be the authority in that scenario.

Boys should disagreeable. The idea that they shouldn't is just another example of the feminization of men

It's funny that people think you gotta raise a follower in order to have a respectful kid. Etiquette and healthy skepticism are not mutually exclusive.

But what would you expect from a bunch of followers? They raise followers.

Why would you not?

So when your kid wants to take the car late on that school night - and you tell him he needs to stay home - you think it’s great if he doesn’t find that answer good? You’re fine with him telling you to go **** yourself and snatch the keys to leave? You find that great parenting to question all of your answers? Lmao

You need to figure out what a border is before you move on to parenting.

This is great advice for your kids. The absolute best thing you can tell the little Huff’s is to not be anything like their father.

What’s funny is people with no kids telling people with kids how to raise kids.
