To Protect and to Serve II

Just don't Ras....

It's okay. He has a point that I probably shouldn't be spreading such a good cause around so much. My bad for trying to help someone out as well as those kids in St Jude.

I'd like to thank DTH for looking past the politics for a moment and giving from the heart.

Now, back to your normally scheduled hate fest.

Your intent was precisely as you suggested, but I will clean it up for you a bit. "Let's derail the conversation about all of these valid points regarding law enforcement with some shaming tactical, feel-good fluff so that I can guilt the main antagonists into maybe holding back on their attacks..."

I've about had it with you and your stupid childishness. Just go **** yourself you self centered, ignorant, prickish low life of a human being.

I did something for another poster who was doing something significant to help a special places that deals with kids with cancer. And made sure the message was spread far and wide in as many forums and threads as I could. You could have ignored the post about it like plenty of others and moved on. But you decided you just had to be a complete and utter douchebag and even doubled down on being a raging, bleeding hemorrhoid on this entire site by saying what you did above. If you can't look past your hatred of me and your "government tyranny" for just one minute to understand this was something worthy of everyone chipping in, you are a good for nothing, soulless creature destined to live a sad and pathetic life filled with despair. And you want to make sure everyone else is miserable while you are at it.

Thank you for taking something positive that drew many of us together regardless of our personal feelings and turning it into a bitter and hateful example of why your life is such a heartbreaking example of what's wrong with this country.

Wonderful display of virtue signaling on your part. If it were really as innocent and as benevolent as you want to suggest in your rant above, you wouldn'thave tried to agitate with your "subtle hint".

Ras, Yankee was well short of the $600 goal he was trying to raise for St. Jude's until GV starting posting about it in all sorts of threads and challenging people to donate. GrandVol didn't have any motive other than to help sick children.

I didn't even know what he was babbling about, he just threw my name out there. Wasn't meant to be a douche move. Just figured it was Grand up to his usual deflection tactics. Then when he came back with his sanctimonious outrage post, I clapped back at him. I mean seriously, it wasn't an attack on the fundraiser as much as it was GV always trying to be slick with his "subtle" comments.

My apologies to the rest of you...

You see folks, this is what true backpedaling and lying through one's teeth looks like. Of course Ras knew what the original post between DTH and myself was about. He went straight douchy about this "not being the donation thread!"

Now Ras, nobody is buying your bull**** here. But if I'm wrong, here's the link again where you can still donate:

http://www.volnation.com/forum/the-pub/272424-fundraising-st-judes.html

Thank you for your support in the matter.

Ciao.

No backpeddling or lying, Grand. Sorry to disappoint. I just figured you were throwing out your typical misdirection and changing of the subject that you typically have done. Usually, you post a feel good cop story to try to counter a string of bad cop stories. I saw this as the samething. I didn't even respond to your original comment until you mentioned my name and said "subtle hint".

Thread police up in here. To serve and protect, right?

Back on topic...***

In b4 "just cooperate with profiling police officers and there won't be a problem"

https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5h2phc_nishsean-napier-police-profiling_news

1. How does he "profile"?

2. From the outset, who is acting the most inappropriate or unreasonable?

3. Officer clearly gives the individual behind the camera the reason why he's speaking to him and asking for identification.

4. The LEO seems a little rattled by the guy's response. It happens. It's not fun and it can knock you off your game.

5. From the second the individual refused to give the LEO his name/DOB/ID, he could have been cuffed and detained.

6. INSTEAD, he attempts to speak with who I assume is his mother and explain to her his reasoning in an effort to persuade her to assist the LEO in his investigation.

7. Officers investigate suspicious activity/behavior every. single. day.

8. This officer articulated to all parties involved why he had reasonable suspicion to conduct a "Terry Stop" (Terry v. Ohio).

9. While he (LEO) was noticeably rattled, he conducted himself in a calm and courteous manner. The other guy acted like a d*ck.

1. How does he "profile"?

2. From the outset, who is acting the most inappropriate or unreasonable? The cop for stopping him for parking a car? No probable cause and no crime committed.

3. Officer clearly gives the individual behind the camera the reason why he's speaking to him and asking for identification. His reasoning is poor.

4. The LEO seems a little rattled by the guy's response. It happens. It's not fun and it can knock you off your game.

5. From the second the individual refused to give the LEO his name/DOB/ID, he could have been cuffed and detained. Really? "Show me your papers..."

6. INSTEAD, he attempts to speak with who I assume is his mother and explain to her his reasoning in an effort to persuade her to assist the LEO in his investigation.

7. Officers investigate suspicious activity/behavior every. single. day. What is is so suspicious about parking a car? Even if he was acting fidgety or itchy. Is this really what you call detective work?

8. This officer articulated to all parties involved why he had reasonable suspicion to conduct a "Terry Stop" (Terry v. Ohio). Again, "Show me your papers..."

9. While he (LEO) was noticeably rattled, he conducted himself in a calm and courteous manner. The other guy acted like a d*ck.

There was being smarmy at the end telling the guy to listen to his mom.

You cops stick together and co-sign each others absurdities.

You don't need PC to stop and ask questions. You DO need Reasonable Suspicion if you feel the actions of an individual is an attempt to conceal something, which the LEO described his RS perfectly. I even gave you the Supreme Court case...

Like it or not, that's the law.

You focus on enforcing the law. I'm concerned about justice.

It is unjust to stop someone for "looking funny" or "making quick/jerky moves" or whatever nonsense that cop was saying.

That's funny because I thought that was the Supreme Court's purpose too.
