It absolutely happens. it happened right here in Blount Co. where a white man was shot by a black officer on his own property.

If proven true cop should face charges...I still don't understand why black lives only matter when they are killed by another race? More young black men are killed in one week in Chicago than by all cops in a year

CHICAGO — Murders in the nation's third-largest city are up about 72%, while shootings have surged more than 88% in the first three months of 2016 compared with the same period last year, according to data released Friday by the Chicago Police Department.

Police said the disturbing rise in violence is driven by gangs and mostly contained to a handful of pockets on the city's South and West sides.

The time spent bickering back and forth could be used to condemn the systematic killing of police and the unjustified shootings of civilians by police. The few crazy people from both sides are stirring everyone everyone into a frenzy of hate and arguing.

Let's try to meet each other in the middle and work to end violence.

I don't think anyone would deny that what you're talking about is a big problem. The BLM crowd condemns all violence, but there are always a few bad apples - just like cops. And that is what they are pushing against: incompetent police, senseless shootings, etc. This whole black-on-black-violence issues is related, but separate from the issue at hand, and it's being used as a diversion by some. I think everyone would like peace and well trained cops.

Let's put down the pitchforks and be peaceful.

My bad. I normally just put my ear buds in and just listen throughout the day. I think the young man in the video nails it. I expect you to disagree with the militarization aspect he talked about, and even I will acknowledge a limited role for such heavy equipment. However something must be done before we are staring down the barrel of a full scale war. Nobody wants that.

One is criminals killing other criminals as part of the drug trade. The other is law enforcement killing unarmed innocent people.

Nobody is saying what's happening in Chicago is acceptable. Its just that almost all of that violence is gangs killing each other over drug turf.

I don't know about you but I expect criminals to do criminal things. However, I do not expect the police to be a threat to innocent unarmed people.

That's why black lives matter is focusing on police killings of black men.

We had a white man in my town, Phillip Hurst, get out of his vehicle during a traffic stop, and got killed by police because he had a pair of vice grips in his hand. He used the vice grips to open his car door because the door handle was broken. The policeman mistook vice grips for a gun in his hand, and opened up on him.
