Let me break it down for you. They are looking for a guy named Michael Clay. He says his name is Patrick. They never ask for ID, they attempt to arrest him, he asks to see the warrant, he tells them he just saw his parole officer and she would have told him if there was a warrant, etc.
All they do is make threats while he's trying to communicate and then they tase him.
Then they tell him he should have given them ID when they asked for it...they never asked for it.
I love how the cop says, "I asked him for ID 3 times. It's all on video."
Then he says "4 times. It's all on video."
****ing liar. This is why it's not safe to assume that cops tell the truth and guys with a criminal history are lying. Both parties have a big incentive to lie about what really happens in interactions.
Notice the video seems to be put out by a law firm. I'd say the kid's gonna get six figures on that one. It's a shame the minority of stupid, overly aggressive cops give the majority of the good cops a bad name.
