Not for me. Dumb ***** already cut my buddy so I'm not taking a chance getting close enough to use a tazer. She had a kitchen knife maybe but she just might get lucky with that ax even throwing it.

A medevil axe is probably not real easy to whirl around. A woman trying to position herself in order to inflict damage with an axe should be no problem for 4 male cops to taze, however, put in that position, I can't say I wouldn't do the same...

He was "hit" by an ax...whether he was stabbed is still unclear to me.

I did and get it. Still think 4 cops should be able to subdue a 40 yr old woman with a heavy medevil axe without lethal means. This wasn't necessary imo...

There are rubber bullets, tazers and sprays that could've been used...

I'm probably the biggest critic of cops on here. I try to judge the instances from a self defense aspect. As we know, murder begins where self defense ends. As bad as I hate to say it, some people just need to be shot.

Just watched the video.

Justified.

She charged the officer for a good 4-5 seconds. Another officer arrives in his patrol car, unintentionally blocking the path of the shooting officer's path while he's backing up, the shooting officer backs into the other patrol car while the subject continues to charge....

The officer gave every warning and chance for the subject to stop. She didn't.

While I don't agree with cops enforcing eviction notices. The cop as a person was well within his right as a human being to shoot her. Could he have restrained her? Maybe, but what if he couldn't? He's dead.

At the end of the day, don't do stupid sh*t.

We're there for the protection of NHA staff, not enforcing the eviction.

The problem being, as DTH pointed out, is that the reactionary gap was already closed by the time he got out of the vehicle. Had he attempted to change weapons, she could have charged him and disarmed/seriously injured him.

You want someone that's already wielding a battle axe with a handgun?

There just wasn't time enough to change out weapons in this case.

I'm not saying I wouldn't have popped her too, but a question...

I'm assuming he knew the civilian was armed and dangerous? Why not stop 30-40 yds away and assess the situation a little more instead of charging in head long? Not being argumenative but just curious...

True, but the conflict was initiated by someone doing something incredibly stupid...... Which was the point I used to try and make. You guys used to say I was defending cops when I was basically saying don't do stupid **** and put yourself in a bad position to begin with.
