Prohibiting felons from having guns is a fairly recent phenomenon.

You haven't shown any proof (as usual) of your claim of the people pointing guns at others before the cops escalated things.

Here is what I saw on the video and what I believe happened.

The people in the neighborhood got together and closed off a block and had a "block party". Just like in anything, you probably had a handful of people in the neighborhood (or maybe just one vocal neighbor) complain about people playing loud music and partying. Of course, the squeaky wheel gets the oil, and in this case, the cops love cracking skulls and coming in to flex their muscle. So when the call came in to possibly shutdown some fun and partying, they were more than happy to oblige... literally the "fun police". So the cops show up, and of course, there were some blacks in the group smarting off and saying "we didn't do nothing" and "we're just having fun". Cops ain't having that, somebody has to go to jail. So that is when the chaos begins.

When the dust settles, after this crowd of "goons" and lawbreakers are finally corralled... Among a group of over 3000 people, you get a handful of felons with weapons and/or ammunition, some drug possession charges and some driver's license and motorcycle license violations.

Not one killer arrested.
Not one robber.
Not one rapist.
Not one person guilty of a property crime.

The entire scene escalated once the cops tried to "get control" of everything. Go look at the video. The violence didn't start until the cops started to flex their muscle.

The average guy just can't catch a break with highwaymen and cops like this patrolling the streets. Life ruined at the snap of a finger by a crooked azz cop.

There are at least 11 known victims named in an affidavit, according to The Washington Post. Local prosecutors have also dropped charges in 119 cases — ranging from misdemeanor offenses to drug possession felonies — that involved Wester, The Tallahassee Democrat reported.

One victim even lost custody of his daughter after he was convicted of felony meth possession, The Post reported.

And how can you blame his “fellow officers” when they were the ones who investigated him, found wrongdoing and fired and arrested him?

Doesn't matter. Shouldn't have gone to jail anyway for silly azz drug charges.

Did you read the story. It mentions there was people calling about the gun incidents. AND a guy got shot by another one. And there were property crimes too

Too bad the cops didn’t step in during one of our turnoverfests this past season. That time we got a 5-second call coming out of halftime was certainly criminal.

Yes enforcing a state law even if you disagree with is 100% the same as killing millions in death camps

And you didn’t answer if you think it’s ok to assault the officer
