I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas. I, like you, having more time to think about things other than a bowl game this time of year, have had more than usual time to ponder and pontificate, and though I have agreed with some, disagreed with others, i certainly appreciate each one of you and look forward to the excitement a new year brings, this year more than ever. True these are trying times in Big Orange Country, but better days are to come. Forget about the disappointing season that we just endured and be encouraged. Forget about losing to Kentucky and remember what it felt like after we beat Vandy to see that Punk Coach's face as he walked off of Shields-Watkins Field. Remember what it feels like on opening day of the season as the giant power T is formed on the field and remember that we are Tennessee, which aint all that bad. Forget the bad and put it in the past and enjoy time with your family and friends, this is a wonderful time of year.

*A special message to you Vol faithful serving in our Armed Forces, i love you guys and appreciate the sacrifice that you and your family make. Im sorry that you might not be able to enjoy this Christmas with your family and friends, but know that there are people that know, appreciate and will be forever grateful for your service. For you have given us the greatest gift this side of Heaven...freedom.
