No we were pleading in the stands for them to huddle up. What im saying is theyve changed their offensive philosophy to this fast pace offense and im not exactly sure they are capable of huddling up. I think once they hit that groove they have to remain in it or risk getting out of rythm and bogging down.
My other point is that it obviously worked for us bc the offense clearly saved the defense by staying in that groove and continuing to score. Regardless of whether we agree with it or not, it worked.
I understand your point if we are talking about the middle of the game but not at the end.
In the Troy game we were better off running out the clock than scoring and going up 8 which we would have done at the 4 min mark if the pass hadnt been dropped. If we had huddled up and let the play clock run down we would have only gotten 1 more first down to end the game. Instead there were 4 more possessions. Bad clock management. Yes we won but the result shouldn't match the poor clock management
