its all opinion. i hope he wins alot of games, i just wouldn't bet on it. like your opinion is he is going to be a great success, i wonder if you would put money on that or are you just praying.

Please don't downplay the fanbase. You're a part of the fanbase, so don't downplay the fanbase.

For the record, Ron Zook had a winning record at Florida, and was fired after three seasons. I guess UF's lack of patience really blew up in their face.

no i would like to get on here and say we were going to be competitive and finish 9-3 with a bowl win, but there is no common sense in that and nothing to support it. stated before i will be rooting for dooley and vols, but just not expecting much, hoping to get surprised.

If the dude settles for your standards, I'm good with giving him the pink slip and his buyout money. "Oh please wait over three years to see if he's good." Nah. **** that. Why? I'm not settling for mediocrity. 3 years is good. Even bad coaches have winning records after three years. If he sucks, he sucks. Call it what you want. Thank God you're not the AD, is what I'm saying.

Yeah, every true Tennessee fan on VolNation expects Dooley to win a national championship. Never mind the losing record in a bad conference, if you're really a Tennessee fan, you assume he's amazing based on pretty much absolutely nothing.

Again, if I said Alabama will probably win another national championship, or if I said 6 months ago that they would probably beat Texas, does that mean I enjoy it and want it to happen?

i'm not hating on dooley. he seems like a respectful guy. i just wonder if he can coach or recruit. lots of questions have to be answered with him and i'm in no way convinced that he is any better than phil was.

i wouldn't say dead, just more like south carolina these days. we play the games with no chance of winning a SEC title anytime in the near future in my opinion.

yeah if you started a thread on volnation about the greatness of alabama and how they would roll to the national title. And anytime anyone disagreed with you you pointed out 20 reasons why they were stupid and alabama is the best. Most people would probably think you were an alabama fan.
