So, my wife went to bed early last night and I was able to tune in a little. Imagine my surprise to see Billy Gunn and the Road Dogg. For some inexplicable reason, I always liked them both. I know I am setting myself up for a beating but it is good to see that the Armstrong name still lives on.

TNA is like watching wrestling circa 1987. It's kind of funny.

I long for the old days, so maybe I will have to tune in more consistently.

the truly entertaining part of TNA is Mike Tenay's facial contortions. He's almost as good as a Chuck Jones cartoon character.

I have found myself truly enjoying this as well. That being said, just seeing Arn Anderson, THE AMERICAN DREAM, and Piper w/ Flair on WWE has taken me back. The theme music was always better back then. How could you not like dusty rhodes theme song?

i can't believe some of the older guys can still walk, let alone get in the ring.

I think Piper has been taking dietary advice from Dusty. Agreed on Dusty's theme music. Being a 4 Hosemen acolyte, I always hated Dusty. However, the man is one of the truly charismatic performers in the history of the business.

I think TNA has definitely tried to step back in time with the old school programming. You'll see 80/20 wrestling/soap opera while WWE is just the opposite. I find myself quickly avoiding WWE and sticking with TNA. It has that old TBS Saturday night feel to it and that is what I've missed in my wrestling. Billionaire Ted...stop funding the UN and pour money back into the old school.

I'll watch if they hire Freddie Miller, let him read the list of upcoming live events, and then exhort me to "Be there!!!"

WWE Hall of Famer “Rowdy” Roddy Piper has been hospitalized in Oregon for surgery after being sent home from WWE’s tour of the United Kingdom. Piper’s original diagnosis was kidney stones, however, sources close to the situation say the former World Tag Team Champion’s surgery may be a result of disc problems.

Due to Piper's injury, he will not participate at Survivor Series; Ric Flair's team will now include a Legend to be named.

Sounds like it's time for the return of Barry Windham.

Why not replace Piper with one of Flair's former tag team partners, Roddie's opponent in the Dog Collar Match at Starrcade I, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine?
