Nobody who understands and has studied the history of college football, other than a biased Tennessee fan, would say Neyland was a better coach than Urban Meyer. Neyland doesn't crack the top 5 for most college football historians, Urban already has.
You have to be Colin cowherd or work for fox sports, this big ten riding is getting to the point of mental gymnastics. Even Paul Bryant himself admitted that Neyland was one of the greatest minds in football, don't understand how you can't if you are supposed to be a Vol fan.
Urban Meyer's head coaching career has been nothing short of dominant. Here's the deal, it's not that I don't think Neyland was a great coach. No question he was. I'm just of the opinion that Urban is, and will go down as, a greater coach than Neyland. Most college football fans outside of Tennessee fans, share the same view. You think Urban couldn't have gotten things turned around at UF and continued his dominance? He absolutely would have. The east has sucked for 6 or 7 years there and he would have feasted.

Where have I said Neyland wasn't great? I simply said Urban Meyer is and will go down as a better coach than Neyland.

Really pointless to try and compare those 2 from
completely different generations. One thing is for sure, Urby would surely piss his pants if he had to go over seas and do what the General did. In that regards, Urby isnt half the man as the General.
