Anderson County Wide Reciever - got to see him play last Friday - team defeated number one ranked team in state Greenville- kid stood out- 10 catches- 140 yds and 2 touchdowns.

Saw he visited at the Missouri game and has an offer from Iowa- amongst others-

From my Alma mater! I haven't followed his recruitment other than what is already known. If I hear something I'll post it.

He is often a mismatch in high school, but wouldn't be in the SEC as much. Doesn't seem to have explosiveness/speed/burst I think we'd want for this offense. Seems more of a possession receiver. I've seem him play quite a bit, and not really convinced he's an SEC scholarship guy, but would see him being a great PWO. Has that Iowa offer which is impressive, but others are Memphis, Tn Tech, Ark State, a couple others like that. This isn't a knock on him at all. Impressive player with great offers. I just am not sure he's an SEC player. I would LOVE to be wrong, but I think it would be more of a Tyler Maples situation. Of course, I was wrong about Josh Smith, so I'm not too good at talent evaluation.

His tape is surprisingly good. I recognize that 4A TN FB is not all that great. But, he looks like he could potentially be a fit for Heupel's scheme. If he can beat Safeties and Nickel/ Dime backs, he might be good enough to be a good possession reciever/ red zone target, who could potentially win jump balls or win on slant routes.

I've watched AC play 3 times on TV this year and Vowell catches everything thrown at him. He's tall and skinny but he's a smooth route runner and a clutch receiver. Their QB is pretty good too.
