I agree if I was the AD I think it would be fine to let yall wear whatever. I think TN fans are making a big deal over nothing. The jersey thing is overblown, trust me GA won't blackout again.See, the thing is that then you guys would get to wear red in Neyland next year, and we could both wear our colors every year, which would be a nice touch for a game that used to be THE rivalry game in the SEC, but which has sort of fallen off the map in recent years. But no, your AD has to go and be an arse and ruin it.

I donbt think ya know what the hell your talking about
?
The point is this is a big deal because the Georgia blackout, Penn State White out and all these games are gimmicks, our wearing our Orange and your Crimson is Tradition. That is the point your narrow minded coach and AD is missing because they got their feelings hurt by Kiffins /Thompsons comments. This game, this rivarly and the long running traditions have been around a lot longer than any of these above mentioned names and its Certainly bigger than any and all of them.

Is anyone on this post, this board, this internet, or in college football fandom actually shocked by this development?
Stop the Presses! Bama ignores good sportsmanship!
That is about as informative a headline as, "Earth proven to be Round! Middle-age Mapmakers Miffed!"
This is a football program whom the NCAA has singled out as being the absolute largest, most unrepentent among violators of the letter and spirit of the NCAA regulations.
This is a booster club that did not (and does not) see any problem with purchasing young African American men from their high school coaches with cash, automobiles, and assorted backdoor incentives.
This is a university which the President of the United States had to order to admit African Americans, and when they refused to comply, the President had to order the National Guard to force Bama's compliance.
This is a state which turned firehoses on peaceful citizens who simply wanted to enjoy the same public accomodations as all other citizens without regard to their race, and whose popular governor declared that segregation should last forever.
I am honestly not shocked by anything they do.
That Bammer who shot his son after they lost to the 'barn a few years back? Ho-hum.
Some fat kid in a dress with a full back tattoo of the Bahr leaning on a goalpost? Predictable.
Some Bama co-ed and her fatter, weaker twin wearing houndstooth hats and whores' uniforms? Meh.
Call me when the NCAA actually grows a pair and gives the Gumps the DEATH PENALTY THEY SO RICHLY DESERVE.
...now that would be news.
While we're talking history and racism, let's look at a few more things. First, what state did the KKK originate in? Oh, that's right....Tennessee.
Secondly, where did the great leader of the Civil Rights movement come from? :dunno: Oh yeah, Alabama.
Finally, in which state was that famous Civil Rights leader from Alabama assassinated? If memory serves correct, that would be Tennessee.
It's not as if Tennessee is the bastion of civility and racial harmony.eace:
Yeah, you won't find any of those wife beating alcoholics in TN. I'm sure there were record numbers in TN last year. The rates probably paralleled UT's losses.
And I'm not trying to make light of such a horrible crime.
True enough, the Klan was founded in Jackson, TN, to that city's perpetual shame.
However, it appears to have been perfected in MS and AL during living memory; see Chaney Goodman & Schwerner, Selma, Birmingham, Montgomery, James Meredith, Medgar Evers, etc.
Besides that, N. Bedford Forrest was a Middle Tennessean, and therefore wretchedly evil.
East Tennessee hill folk actually supported the Union cause in large part such that Confederate regiments had to constantly quell dissent throughout the war, and over thirty thousand East Tennesseans served in the Union Army. East Tennessee and the Civil War - Google Books
On a personal note, my paternal great-great grandfather was murdered above Cades Cove for being a Union sympathizer.
Ultra-FAIL. MLK was bred, born, raised, and educated in Atlanta. Malcolm X was born in Nebraska.
WTH are you talking about? Bull Connor perhaps? He was a big leader, just for the wrong side.
That's hooey. Mempiss is de facto/constructively Arkansas or Mississippi. Once the river corrects its course after the next significant seismic event, this will be a non-issue.
Lousy bottomlanders.
Given the Christian-Newsom murders and the story of the Clinton six, I can do nothing but agree.
Still, it gives me solace to know that Bama's record in this regard is unparalleled among any state or province, with the possible exception of the South African provinces of Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.
