'26 TN TE Carson Sneed (UNC commit)

Carson prob isn’t overreacting to one game. When Dayton leaves UNC I could easily see him knocking on the door again. If not it’ll be a year before he’s rostered and 3 before he’s a factor. That young thing may have killed Ole Bill by then. Lol let’s see how this plays out before we go Thunderdome on him.

Hate these deals. I SORT OF apply the FOOL ME ONCE doctrine. It is one thing to fight to get back in when you lose the initial battle, another when they sign on and then walk away. No problem with this FAMILY unification decision, but rarely do I buy into redo situations, BUT will ride with the staff on this one wherever it leads.

Yeah, I agree. I'm not sure Sneed is a good enough player for me to bend on that idea, either. Fine player, would have definitely liked to have had him, but I'm not going to fight for him. If he sees the error of his ways and wants to get back home, let him go to Vandy. We'll have found someone else.

what’s to say this isn’t the type to hold us hostage once he’s here? What’s to say this isn’t the type that transfers out the moment he isn’t named starter? It’s a new age and he has made his decision. Next
Exactly.....and do we really want a guy that wasn't smart enough to at least take a wait and see approach with Belichick? It's one thing to be tempted by an offer when your future is on the line...and I'm sure Bill was dropping Gronkowski's name around during his visits, but to go all in on a washed up coach before even getting a glimpse of the product he puts on the field is just poor decision making. I still can't believe they are paying him 10 million a year.

Honestly, if he didn’t want to be here already, I wouldn’t want him to come now. He seems like after year 1 he would look to transfer anyway. Belichick has a losing record without Tom Brady. I just don’t see him having a winning record at UNC. Just wonder if recruits realize that maybe he just had a great run with a great QB and a really good DC all those years?

We can get better than him once other tight ends see us perform. It’s not about him flipping to North Carolina it was his constant inmature jabbing us while being committed. Now if we take him back fine I will pull for him to do well. But certainly not losing sleep on him at this point. He is the one who put flames on the bridge behind him. Now he might have to sleep on the baby Carolina blue bed for awhile. GBO!😆

I doubt we circle back here. Besides, we can probably get a TE of equal or better talent if we put on the full court press.

He wanted to play with his brother. His brother wanted playing time. Do you all even have family?

Fair enough, but how many snaps did big bro get last night? At best, Carson will get two years to play with his brother and his brother just isn't likely to get much playing time at UNC, either.

The answer is nope. Those boys seem toxic. His brother talking crap abt our baseball team for no reason…then Carson going to an unproven team bc of a big name. Don’t need it and don’t want it.

Cade Mays chose a rival in Georgia. We took him back...which also led to Cooper.

I doubt it'll even come into play, but these things can be smoothed over if both parties want them to be.
Not exactly an apples:apples comparison, but I agree, things can work out if both sides want them to. I just don’t think Carson is the kind of can't-miss kid you bend over backwards for after the fact. Cade Mays was a 5* legacy, a Freshman All-American, and an All -SEC Freshman with 18 starts on an elite UGA OL when we took him back. Doubtful Sneed is touching those accolades.

That’s completely understandable. Also he and the family made some unforced errors with how they handled the commitment and his dip**** brother running his mouth on socials about the baseball team. Both things can be true.
