Because his numbers aren’t impressive? He plays against crap competition with a bunch of small schools? Go Watch his video and there really isn’t anything impressive there and I’m not sure how the heck anyone put him at 4 stars! I saw watching football last fall a lot of better TE’s with the kid Jude from Sevier County, kid from Halls. So not sure how Carson got traction, but even if he stuck with TN he’d prob be gone to a lesser school within a year. So I’ve given plenty of reasons why he prob shouldn’t have been a 4-star. I mean I see the same for the kid going to UGA as a QB, big fish in a tiny pond playing against some crap competition and than looks good in 7v7 when throwing against air and no one beating your brain in.

Nobody is tripping. Carson has been doing this diva crap taking visits and saying how great schools like Florida and UNC are while EIKG COMMITTED TO TN. If playing dor his brother is that important then fine. Decommit and go to UNC. He didn’t do that did he?

Yeah, in the portal age I wouldn’t go too overboard if a kid picks another school. You may be able to add them to the roster a year or 2 later

Flipping away from us is a bash worthy offense. You're either with us or against us. If that makes me an ass hole, so be it. I prefer to be known as a smart ass. And if this kid chooses UNC over us, he's a dumb ass.

If he is not ALL IN, I am for QUIETLY moving on and inform him we are reallocating his schollie and we won’t publicly share that if he does not put our hat on the table and informs the services of his new TOP list.

No problem with his change of heart…,, you can’t fake it. FIT is real. EASY to pull the early trigger under the circumstances that have now changed. Just fix it.

UNC isn’t good. They’re bad even in a mediocre conference. The stadium seats 50k and the head coach is 73 years old and has been a mediocre coach when not paired with tom Brady.

Flipping from UT to UNC in not a decision that makes sense. But I can’t fault the kid for wanting to play with his brother.

Nevertheless, best of luck to them. I’m confident Tennessee will be fine.

I think Dayton saw the writing on the wall. He was always super unlikely to make much of an impact here. At UNC, at least he has a slightly better of a chance of seeing playing time.

Also, we know how BB loves his small, shifty WRs and has always been one to make tight ends a focal point on offense. So I think it's easy for both of them to see the appeal of playing for BB. Regardless what you think about BB, he has forgotten more about football than most coaches will ever know in a lifetime. I find it unlikely he isn't at least mildly successful at UNC

Don't underestimate the Belicheck name (at least for recruiting). He can show off his SuperBowl Rings and NFL trophies to prospects and brag that he knows how to turn them into NFL stars. NFL potential is still one of the top recruiting tools and goal for most players.
