Hardest schedules in the SEC. OOC games and cross divisional games obviously are the biggest factors.

1. Ole Miss
2. Auburn-I'd say CU is the reason here
3. Alabama
4. Texas A&M
5. Arkansas
6. LSU
7. MSU
8. Kentucky
9. Missouri
10. South Carolina
11. Georgia
12. Florida
13. Vanderbilt
14. Tennessee

I've said, everyone has said it, this year sets up perfect for Tn. From the schedule, to teams in the East having new coaches, drawing a very weak T A&M from the west, everything. Book you Atl tickets now before the Nov market hits and Tn fans are eating them up.

Analysis: As if Tennessee fans needed another reason to feel good this season. The Vols will need make it through a brutal four-game stretch against Florida, Georgia, A&M and Alabama with at least two wins, but if they do, little else would prevent them from securing 10 victories and the SEC East crown. UT’s two toughest games are at home (Alabama/Florida), Virginia Tech is rebuilding and the remaining non-conference schedule is a cakewalk. Compared to some other SEC teams, Butch Jones & Co. have a yellow-brick road to Atlanta this fall.

Our schedule is the easiest...

...cuz we don't play ourselves.

Boom!

It is quite possible that we will play only two (2) ranked teams* all through the regular season. For an SEC team, that is a hella easy schedule. The average SEC team most years plays 4 or 5.

*UGa and Bama. End-of-season rankings, not when-we-played-them rankings. Good chance Florida will also be ranked when we meet them.

And when we win the east that'll be everyone's reasoning, outside of VolNation..."they had an easy schedule".

Oh well. Better than fighting for a bowl and *****ing about it.

lol at 10-2 being unacceptable.

People act like the other teams dont have good players too. The margin of error is so slim when teams are somewhat evenly matched. A fumble here or an int there, and games dont always go as planned.

10-2 is the goal. Anything more is icing the cake imo

What's crazy is that hardly any team in the nation (outside the SEC) would want our schedule. But, after the past several years of the gauntlet, we deserve it. :)

not buying it. App State shocked Michigan a few years back on a season opener with a coaching staff similar to the one they have now (with UT's own all American favorite son Dale Jones coordinating the defense).
and I don't care if Va. Tech is rebuilding. Better not take them for granted.
Ohio and Tenn. Tech...ok, maybe a little weaker.

Another reason why 10-2 is UNACCEPTABLE.

Its 11-1 or better IMO for expectations in 2016.

Every time I feel your stupidity has reached a new low, I'm relieved, because I read things like this and I realize, "Hey, this clown's got more jokes!! All right!!"

10-2 is more often than not acceptable in the SEC. Not this year, not with our talent. We are better than every team besides maybe Alabama. Who is the clown now?

Appy State pulled that upset almost a decade ago, and yet some people still freak out about it.

Good grief, people. Let that game go...

UT is better than 11 of the 12, but this isn't a tried and true group and, well, its UT where life isn't perfect so I expect 10-2. Only way I will settle for 9-3 is if Dobbs or a slew of players get injured which cost a game.

That was nine years ago when Michigan had one their worst defenses in school history. Plus app state had a legit playmaker at QB in Armanti Edwards.

Just stop. We as a fan base need to stop thinking like cellar dwellers and start thinking like champions. App State? Good grief if this team is seriously worried about them then we have serious problems.

Honest to GOD. Well said Grand. It was 9 years ago....for some context as to how long ago that was, Coach Fulmer was still here.

People should recall that many were freaked out about Utah State two years ago before we throttled them 38-7. Last it was Bowling Green and then 59-30 happened.

Appy State has absolutely no chance here in about 3 weeks. None.

Sometimes our fan base is so ignorant about the little things it's astounding. I remember last year when we were discussing the opening we had when UAB dropped out of our first game. I suggested the USAF Academy since they had a bye week, were a reasonably respectable opponent and would be a good game to open the season with. And the responses?

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!?!?!?! Are you SERIOUS! They almost beat us!

Yeah, like three coaches and countless players ago. Anyway, I see the same thing in the Appy State game. "OMG! OMG! They beat Michigan!"

Not even mentioning the payback Michigan unleashed on them in 2014. I think the term "beat the brakes off them" comes immediately to mind.

No reason for anyone to keep dredging up that game from 2007. It was a fluke and a once in a lifetime event of an FCS team beating a traditional powerhouse.
