Johnny Majors would often make the other team wait sometimes as long as 3 or 4 minutes but seemed much longer....
Don't like interrupting another teams opening or as Georgia did dance on our logo
I love it! :dance2:I love visiting opposing team's stadiums and seeing their pregame rituals. I've always thought it would be cool to see the SC cock intro and was excited to see it. Needless to say, I was there and still missed it bc UT killed their introduction. I always find it a bit rude when other team's take the field while we're running thru the team, but I didn't mind it this time. :dance2:

B grade movie? Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey is one of the best if not the best film of all time. And it's from the sixties. Yes, Elvis bastardized it and SC's use is atrocious, but c'mon, I'm guessing you're more of a 300 or Pure County kind of guy? I'm mostly a lurker, but I could not stand for this!
I personally couldn't stand that rooster call after touchdowns.
I'm just ashamed that there are so many Star Trek fans who root for the Vols. 2001 was a sorry movie and only someone who wears a pocket protector every day would think differently:rock: And the idiot who tired to compare Rocky Top to that song should have his Vol fan card revoked.
I stand by earlier statments about the mascot being a man wearing tights in a chicken costume and the fight song is a show tune from the 60s.
Also, most people are familiar with the song from 2001: A Space Odyssey because Ric Flair used it as his intro....WOOOOOOOOOOO
Well....now that you bring Flair into it......I'm just ashamed that there are so many Star Trek fans who root for the Vols. 2001 was a sorry movie and only someone who wears a pocket protector every day would think differently:rock: And the idiot who tired to compare Rocky Top to that song should have his Vol fan card revoked.

The song is from a B grade movie from the 70s, the smoke comes from fire extinguishers and the mascot is a man in a chicken costume wearing tights!!
Nothing screams tradition like that. Plus, their fight song is a show tune from the 60s!!

I'm not sure, but don't the networks give the team the signal to head onto the field for televised games?

i love tennessee. I am from tennessee. I will always love tennessee.
but stop pretending that a dog wearing a coonskin hat is any better.
And the unofficial fight song is rocky top. Again, let's not act like we are the most civilized.
I love our "traditions" but don't see how ripping someone else's makes sense.
