TN ruining SC's Introduction

The song is from a B grade movie from the 70s, the smoke comes from fire extinguishers and the mascot is a man in a chicken costume wearing tights!!

Nothing screams tradition like that. Plus, their fight song is a show tune from the 60s!!

Grade B movie? ....now your screen name makes perfect sense. I love Rocky Top but it is a country song, our mascot is in a dog suit. half a dozen one, six the other...

I love ours because it's ours
I hate theirs because it's theirs
but there's not a lot of difference in them....

I thought their entrance was lame. They have to use the jumbotron to get the fans involved in anything. Our gameday experience is so much better. We are so much louder.

I personally wish the league would come together to put a stop to this. As we have all thought its rude when other teams do it to us at home. Fans come for the experience of their home teams entrance.

They did it to us last year at our place, so we probably did it to get a bit of revenge.

Disrespect us, then we disrespect you

Ironic how much our fans b*tch and moan about other teams doing this to us, but then we turn right around and do it to our opposition as well.

yep....someone started a thread about "classless" bama last week....hhhhmmmm

The other teams don't mess up our intro. OUR fans mess it up by starting to boo the other team instead of continiung to cheer our team. Never understood booing. Other teams get high on that. Stay silent.

Williams Brice is the only place I know of where you can go to a concession stand and eat the mascot.

I don't have a problem with it since I think the stadium owners could easily control the entry of the teams onto the field. Does the home team's band need 5 minutes to get through the intro so the home team can arrive at the right moment? Great, get the visitors out of their locker room 6 minutes before the home team. Easy as unlocking a door at the right time, imo.

If you can't figure that out, then you deserve to get your intro ruined.

Reminds me of a quote attributed to Skip Carey. When asked if he watched the Kentucky Derby, he replied "absolutely not. As a sportscaster, I do not care for any sports where you can't interview the winner."

I dont think many really have an issue with it. Its more that its comical that the same bumpkins who think everyone else who does it to us are a bunch of classless human beings.

I don't mind when they run out during our intro, though it was annoying when Alabama players were intentionally in the way during the pregame routine.

B grade movie? Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey is one of the best if not the best film of all time. And it's from the sixties. Yes, Elvis bastardized it and SC's use is atrocious, but c'mon, I'm guessing you're more of a 300 or Pure County kind of guy? I'm mostly a lurker, but I could not stand for this!

I was going to say that we have a double standard until I noted that we stayed on the outside circle unlike that Bama jack hole that high stepped through the tuba section.
