Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

I believe he was a very good coach at the NFL level (I can remember back to his 'apprenticeship' under Parcells and the Giants). But he's learning College does not equal the NFL.
He's unequivocally the best coach in NFL history. College would never work because he is 72.

I feel like he was just bored and wanted to see if he could coach in today's insane college world.

There is a dude at work that has been getting ripped. A few people think he must be on the juice.

I asked him this morning what he's doing to get bigger. He said eating and lifting in his backyard. I said "weights are expensive now", because I saw some for about $2/lb. . . he said he only uses two 20lb dumbbells for all his lifting.

Can you get jacked from only lifting 20lb dumbbells?
Need pictures or your definition of ripped. His Pictures and blood work would also help.
But, if your definition of ripped is skinny with some muscle showing. yes, don’t have to juice for a figure like that. But if your definition is he got larger muscles, veiny, capped shoulders and traps with 20lb weights. Then it’d be easy to say he’s on the juice.

I just can't picture someone juicing and lifting only 20 lbs dumbbells. Why risk the drawbacks of anabolic steroids and not adopt a proper lifting program?

Eh. He was very good at building a team around Tom Brady. His record differential with and without Brady is shocking...219-64 with, 83-101 without. Brady, on the other hand, won a Super Bowl without him.

Who is better?

Vince Lombardi with his slew of hall of famers? Chuck Knoll with his? Bill Walsh?

What great coaches that coached dynasties haven't had a hall of fame QB with several hall of fame players littering the field? When have they won without great QB play?

He still won Clevelands only playoff game in about 30 years and took the Pats to the playoffs with Mac Jones after Brady left.

Brady also inherited Bruce Arians, who is one of the better coaches out there and an absolutely LOADED Buccaneers roster, while adding weapons like Gronk, Fournette, LeSean McCoy and Antonio Brown to an Offense that was ranked 3rd in the league with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. the Jameis Winston 5000 passing yard 30 int season lol. They had an elite defense, Suh, David, Pierre Paul etc. The Chiefs couldn't block them, way too talented, the end.

We cannot contribute to his retention

Looking at their schedule, I see a realistic scenario where they lose two more (A&M and Ole Miss) and I see one where they lose 4 more (A&M, OM, UGA, & FSU).

I’m not adding us into that column until I see how we play in Tuscaloosa. Until we step up in big games on the road and actually play with a purpose, I’m not ready to commit to a W.

Travis Henry impregnated 3 women on this drive.

The run down to the 2...I've watched that play a million times over the years. The safety that comes up, literally bounces right off him straight into the ground. Cheese was stronger, or as strong as Jamal, I believe. Just nowhere near as quick and fast. Cheese had deceptive speed though, and as strong as any RB we've ever had.
