'27 TN RB David Gabriel Georges

I cant recall how many players who've worn the T gloves, only to go elsewhere. I'm sure it's same way with other schools too.
Yes ....

I remember the freak out on here when David Sanders was wearing Ohio State gloves at practice one afternoon.

Hell, Tristen Keys was wearing LSU gloves up until about a week before he flipped.

Having said that, it's definitely not a negative.

And to think someone tried to tell us how and when to worry circle.

Baylor running back David Gabriel Georges will announce his decision on what school he will attend on July 22 in Chattanooga. The decision was originally set to take place in Canada, but will now take place inside the Volunteer state. All four of his finalists have been by to see him over the last couple of weeks. Tennessee was by there on Tuesday with a plethora of coaches. This one isn’t done to anyone and remains a two team race. He has close friends at Tennessee, and several orange tinted people around him at Baylor. His favorite running back remains Alvin Kamara and I continue to feel good about the legwork Tennessee has done to this point. In the end, it comes down to the visits and how all of the talks go when he comes to campus.

^^^^ Sheer poetry. Ralphie gets an A++++. ^^^^

This is easily the most promising development I've read from AP. This thread should be a pessimist's nightmare right now.

Emphasis on Alvin Kamara huh...

If we whiff on DGG…what happens to sims? Seeing that he whiffed last year on hiter. I mean I know the system is friendly for the backs but it’s all about recruiting and portal but this caliper of player is different.
Will depend on the reasons he passed on us. Does not take but one stupid money offer to change history.

I would suggest a NEGAVOL tax for those that publicly promote discord without evidence of at least 6 figure commitments to throw at each of the DIFFERENCE MAKERS.

Yeah, we can't just say fire a coach simply because we didn't throw the most money at a kid. Sims has likely no control over how much we can offer a kid. And at the end of the day, while it used to be about mainly relationships, it isnt anymore. You could have a great relationship with a coach and school, but go with the bigger bat and a coach and school you liked a little less. Doesn't mean a coach or school didnt recruit well. Just ultimately means money played a bigger factor. And we will hardly ever know the details.

Now if its a situation like where Vonn Bell was practically an instate player and Dooley doesn't even reach out to him? That's different.

But that isn't what's happening. Id like to believe we are forming the best relationships we can with the players we want and we are making responsible decisions in what we can offer them based off of their talent and our needs and budget. And sometimes, there's gonna be another school with a bigger need and a bigger budget, or who might value their talent more.

It truly is a "care about the ones we get, forget about the ones we don't," type deal more than ever.

I just want to see what a top tier back could do in this offense. Maybe this cycle we open the check book at this skill position. WR depth is great right now. We've got QBs and Tackles. Now is the time if we are going to.

We should always look for the best running backs, they are difference makers. Big fast strong running backs with vision are just that. GBO
