If you really look at it Heupel really doesn’t focus on using one back as a bell cow. That’s a big reason why we haven’t gotten elite RBs to come here imo. These elite top tier RBs don’t want to share the load so to speak.
???

Hiter went to Michigan.

If we whiff on DGG…what happens to sims? Seeing that he whiffed last year on hiter. I mean I know the system is friendly for the backs but it’s all about recruiting and portal but this caliper of player is different.
Hiter was never coming here. Was just waiting on Michigan to get their offer up. A la Tate and OSU

I agree that great backs today often are willing, if not eager, to share the load to reduce wear-and-tear before going pro. Judkins said when he transferred that he liked the idea of splitting carries with TreVeyon Henderson.

But Michigan wasn't a good example the past few years. Justice Haynes got the overwhelming majority of yards in first half of season, got injured, and then Marshall was bell cow for remaining games. And Michigan basically ground Blake Corum into fine powder his final two seasons.

If DGG is smart, he should want to play for a team that has complementary good backs.

^^^^ Sheer poetry. Ralphie gets an A++++. ^^^^

This is easily the most promising development I've read from AP. This thread should be a pessimist's nightmare right now.
👀👀👀 I’ll admit I’ve not felt great about this one. But this is an interesting development.
