Speaking of in-state standouts, Princeton Uwaifo has plans to see Tennessee on multiple occasions this fall. The massive OL told us this week that he feels like “the top priority” for Glen Elarbee, and the two have hit it off. Uwaifo is planning to be in town for the Georgia game and the Oklahoma game. He is also planning to be in Tuscaloosa when Tennessee travels to Alabama.

One of our top targets in-state in the '27 class. Has already been to campus multiple times and feels like we are in a really good spot here early.

Already listed at 6'6 and 300 plus pounds as a junior.

Saw him vs Oakland last year. A little raw as you would expect in a sophomore left tackle, but has all the physical tools in the world. Super excited to see him this year and glad Murfreesboro has every team play a Thursday night game now so I can easily fit him into my schedule. Super athletic at that 6'6+ size

Looking at that 247 rankings, it is bothersome to see kids in the Top 10 instate list already committed to out of state programs.

Plenty of time to flip Bowman. Oregon is going to seem really far away the more time passes.

Hope so. I guess I won't be as bothered if we close on some highly ranked targets before 2027.

Loooooooong way to ESD for ‘27 class
I still feel good about Kesean Bowman coming here. Maybe that would change if he visits there every single weekend like he has with Tennessee since 8th grade, but until then, I feel pretty good still. Jamarkus Pittman hasn't really posted film so I have no opinion on him personally beside the fact that he's huge, but I hadn't heard his name mentioned at all with Tennessee

The folks I know at Brentwood Academy (one of whom is the parent of a teammate) seem to feel the same way. Kid feels like a Vol eventually.

I’m not sure why the Oregon commitment. Drive up the price? The “prestige” of being committed to a top brand so far away?

In-state 2027 offensive lineman Princeton Uwaifo rolls into town for the first time this fall. Tennessee has done an excellent job of making him feel like a priority early in the season. He is looking forward to being back around the staff and continuing to learn more about the program. He will take in another game in Neyland later this fall, but Tennessee has put itself in a good position early on, and they will look to build on it this weekend.

“Just the energy, you know, Neyland Stadium is one of the loudest, most energetic stadiums there is,”

“It really showed today against a great Georgia team. It was just big moments, big touchdowns. I felt they should have won the game, but you know, it is not how it turned out. It was just all around a great experience like it usually is for me. This atmosphere was better than when I was here last year for the Florida game.”

“You can tell they really care about their players, the team and the recruits. I can tell they care for me. Being here, it kind of feels like home, usually every time I come here.”

“They had great protection for Joey, in my opinion,” Uwaifo said of this. “They gave him a lot of time to get off some big passes. I feel like that is the core of our offense that we need to keep doing.”

“My feeling was already pretty high for them, and I am not sure how much higher it could really go. I would say they are up there right now. Pretty high up on my list.”

In-state offensive lineman Princeton Uwaifo was high on the Vols before this visit last weekend, and Tennessee continued to put its best foot forward with the massive prospect. We will continue to monitor his timeline this fall, but the Vols are in good shape here right now. He returns to town again for the Oklahoma game.
