'26 TN OT Kamari Blair (Tennessee commit)

Will be interesting to follow, HOPEFULLY a classic case of accurate star value entering his SR year followed by a day 1 or 2 draft experience a few years later. It happens if you have been blessed with the right tools. Always thought he was high on our war room wall.
He was because you can't coach his length and athelect ability its there. He just needs few years in our program and he will exceed big time. Believe me SC knows what they are losing and there not happy.

“Good for them. They’re loading up on mid OL while we’re reeling in the biggest OL prize on the board tomorrow.”

“Lol, they’re desperate for OL. Their own fans know this is only happening because they missed on 2 higher-ranked targets, one of which is committing to us tomorrow.”

These are my personal favorites. We have a 5* OT and 4* OT this class to go with 4* OT Blair and signed a 5* OT and 4* OG last class, as well., but we are desperate and loading up on mid OL. 😂
😆. They seem to be missing this on top of Blair literally only committing to USCjr to begin with because they threw a bunch of money at him last minute. He wanted to be a Vol all along.

Why did he commit to SC in the first place? Caught up in a moment? SC offer more?
Probably a case of buyer’s remorse.

USCjr offered a very lucrative NIL deal just before his commitment which, most likely, led to them being the pick.

Kid, and potentially family, mulls it over for a month and realizes the extra incentives aren’t worth (to them) the additional distance from home, quality of football program, relationships, etc.

Money didn't change at all. Blair wanted to stay home and rep the state. Flip happened fast because he wanted to completely shut it down before his season started.
Exactly, you will never convince some but we both know the deal. We both said yesterday he was going to flip. He truly wanted to be at Tennessee all along, got caught up in the moment and made an impulse decision, then quickly got doubts. GBO

Adidas deal may have allowed Tennessee to sweeten the pot as well.

Was listening to the Basilio show today and a caller from Clarksville called in about Blair. Said he spoke with his coach and that Blair runs 19 mph on the treadmill at 6'6 287 lbs.

Just for reference, the fastest measured speed in the NFL last season was 22.36 mph by Kavontae Turpin who is listed at 5'9 153 lbs.

This kid is a freak show in terms of raw athletic ability.

That quote was from his coach to Vol Quest. AP shared it on 99.1 Yesterday.

I gotcha. I’m sure the coach is pumped to have a talent like that so he’s raving about him to anyone he gets a chance to.

The caller actually brought up an interesting thought that we should develop him as a DL with that kind of athleticism.
