'18 TN OL/DL Cade Mays (Transfer)

Your opinion is fine and honestly, if he weren’t a capable lineman that could hurt our rival by leaving, I wouldn’t want him back either. As someone else stated, the optics of this would be HUGE for Tennessee. It would also take a ton of grit for Cade to come Tennessee, given the history.

Right. I didn't say he wasn't good. He's dang good. Wished he would have be a Vol from day one.

So i was talking to the Memphis Trio, and they’re trying like heck they’re trying to get him there for the lunch with the Memphis Trio and Jay Hardy. He’s been in constant communication with them and knows them really well from his time playing high school ball. I’m not saying he’s coming but he might. I’ll keep letting you know everything i hear

None of that is true, and i have no sources. I just wanted to feel like OD for a second. I didn’t like it

Be careful...if you do that very often you start losing brain cells..

Really? Well since he's not in the portal, that would be an NCAA violation. Hope he's not doing that. Obviously.

Well maybe not Pruitt, but he's been in contact with someone according to Atlanta Vol. I would say Pruitt has some knowledge of the situation and would welcome Cade with open arms.

This can't be true since he's not in the portal. Would be a recruiting violation. There may be other recruits or players talking to him, but not CJP or any other coach.

I am guessing any messaging would be through his dad, mother and brother. BUT BUT BUT.... as I said somewhere up this thread, I cannot see any practical way to get this done since he will probably like to keep open his options to enter the draft at the end of this next season. But being able to sell it being a thought process should help those family members in the greater Orange community, that unfortunately included an abundance of low brow attacks when Cade flipped to UGA. I am sure his relationships with the previous staff and his interpretation of how their departure went down triggered the decision and the immediate reactions solidified his decision in his mind. He could claim youth, the detractors not so much. The fact that many still justify the methods within their reactions is probably a factor now. But he probably has to deal with the fact that Orange not red will be a prevailing color in his parents place when he and his brother have their own places.

I actually do get it. Cade is a great player who is from Tennessee. He would love to play with his brother (I guess this is mostly speculation around here). It would be great to hurt UGA too, by taking one of their top 6-7 OL.

At some point, however, we need to hold these kids accountable for their actions. He didn't hurt my feeling by all the antics he pulled when choosing UGA over UT. He hurt UT and all of the fans.

If he comes to UT, cool. I hope he plays well and becomes an ambassador for UT. If so, I may change my attitude towards him.
GBO!!

So this guy spits on the Vols every chance he gets, and probably 75% of VN still would not take his little brother because of it, but all of a sudden, VN would welcome him back with open arms? I guess the parable of the lost son is in play here.

I say.. stay at UGA big fella. Would rather have dudes who want to be here. (As with all of my "lame" material, this is just my opinion, and does not reflect the owners of this thread  )

Come on dude. Butch Jones was the coach here during Cade's recruitment. Can't blame the guy for signing somewhere else initially.
