1. Butch was incompetent with game day coaching & making adjustments.
2. Butch had too many insufferable losses. I don't know how many is too many just that it was too many.
3. Dabo is a snake in the grass and was able to negatively recruit against TN due to Butch' obvious shortcomings. Perhaps Dabo made it personal after TN flipped Marlin Lane and made a strong push for Tavien Feaster...
4. Regardless of the why, once some of these kids get involved with clemson there appears to be genuine disdain & malice that surfaces toward TN from some of them who were committed to TN or had TN in their top group, grew up huge TN fans, legacy or not.
5. Dabo is pretty slick, not sure he is any more honest/dishonest than Butch but he is a better coach who learned & adjusted. Just look at how clemson has improved since getting BLOWN out 70-33 in 2012 Orange Bowl

For what's it's worth I do believe Pruitt is the real deal & TN will be very happy with the hire!

And you hire people for a living with no unwarranted bias I am sure. Cade is a HS senior making a big decision. Take the high road and root for a young person to be successful. If UT was committed to winning like Clemson then Cade would most likely be a VOL come NSD. Hope Pruitt can change things for the better. UT will get their share of good OL players. :hi:

Dabo is a better recruiter and surrounded himself with better assistants.

As a coach? Who knows. Dabo is an excellent HC because he landed Venables and sniffed out Chad Morris and handled the transition from Morris seamlessly.

If Cade does not want to be a Vol so be it. We need players that want to be here and represent the Orange & White. Good Luck to him if he goes elsewhere.

I will support the one's we get not the one's we don't. It is all we can do at this time. :good!:

Agree. Being so close to the early signing period and if he chooses to make a committment elsewhere at this time without taking the time to meet and discuss things with the new staff, let him go. I can not believe he valued Botch's player development over what is on board now. Was he really all Vol up to his decommittment? It does not appear to be so. You can't change so easy. Passion and allegiance of a true Vol is either 100% or not. So, don't let the door hit you on the way out. We need players with a desire to represent us unconditionaly.That is the definition of a TRUE Vol.

Stayed with Butch all this time up until he was fired and was worried about winning championships?

Wonder how many times Butch lied and bull****ted to these kids?

I'm more disappointed in his father than him. How can you play at such a high level for UT, live and raise your family in Knoxville, and allow this to happen with your son? Don't give me this "kids make their own decisions" nonsense. Good parents are able to guide their kids to make the RIGHT decision.

And yes, I did raise two sons who are now grown. This would NOT have happened in my house.

He's being a good father and letting his son make his own decision and the decision that is right for him. It doesn't matter if he played at UT. Cade is his own person.
