'18 TN OL/DL Cade Mays (Transfer)

Man, it's just really hard to believe that he doesn't want to jump back in. Kinda unbelievable to me.

He doesn't appear to want the challenge like Smith did. He said he wants to be on a winning team and that's what Clemson has been doing. He wont have to play Bama. Georgia, Auburn and Florida. It is what it is.

I'm with Ron. The word I've heard used to describe CJP the most is relentless and he gets what he wants. I see no way in he'll he lets cade go. Not worried.

So are we knife fighting in the streets or what? Lemme know, K?

Yes

Actually, timing wasn’t due to Butch, he decommitted well after Butch was fired. It had to be something else.

My hope is that when Phil and CJP do in home (heard that today) that Phil explains what was going on behind scenes causing so much disfunction, and assures him that today is a new day and we’re on an upward trajectory that his signing could make that much steeper. Then CJP needs to outline his strategic plans to get us to the top quickly, how Cade fits in there, how he will be a Tennessee hero along with the greats like Andrew Jackson, Davy Crockett, General Neyland, Johnny Majors, Peyton Manning, and that gentleman sitting to his right, and finally how all this culminates to a top 5 draft position in 3-4 years.

I think that he decommitted simply because we had the worst team in our history and he did not feel like he would get the best coaching if he came here. We'll see if the new staff can make an impression. Like anyone else, I want him to be in Tennessee orange, but if he thinks it's best that he goes elsewhere, then I wish him an injury-free career and a royal butt-whoopin' if we meet him on the field.

Cade has been inundated with negative recruiting . He is a 18 year old and is probably just a big a fan of UT as anyone on here. I have faith Pruitt will do his best to get him back in the fold. If he doesn't I am sure Coach will find another OT.

No narrative at all. You're the one that says this isn't your original username. The logical assumption is that you were banned. What other reason would you have to create a different account? What was your previous username?

Years ago I was a drunken ass. Took 4 years off. Couldn’t remember my password and didn’t want to be known by that name for people who might remember. So when I came back it was under this name.
It happens.

And yes.....I was a way bigger jerk then ttan now.

Edit: escape goat forgot his password and was “flip the feild” for a while till he sobered up and remembered his password. He recently forgot again and was escapegoat2 for a short time.
Lol

Impossible!!!!

Hahahaha

My guess is he’s silently committed to Clemson already and Austin knows it. So he thinks it’ll be difficult to get him back. I don’t though, Fulmer and CJP won’t stop until he commits.

But if he ends up going elsewhere, oh well, bye then.

are you saying he takes his commitments seriously?

Again, I used that spelling because that is a common spelling for that last name. damn, I am sorry. People misspell my last name all the time because there is more than one common spelling for that name. I have never once questioned someone's intelligence or tried to invalidate someone's argument or opinion because of one misspelled word.
As for "Mays," Are you happy pedants? The kid clearly has an attitude. You can see that by watching him play. He gets mad and gets stupid penalties. That crap could hurt us in big games. I gave a specific example of why I think he would be a problem here, but you were too busy being pedantic to consider the substance behind my argument.

Dang you get your feelings hurt easy. It’s comical you feel the need to respond when you get criticized.

Ron someone I know that claims to be a Clemson insider said the same thing. He is a silent to Clemson. He wanted to take visits but Dabo has a rule against visits if you’re publicly committed; therefore, he’s a silent commit. Don’t know if it’s true but I hope not. The guy is a major Clemson homer but who knows.

He’s not a silent to Clemson but I do think they lead, slightly. Someone from his family said he is torn from friends (CU) to future/business decision (Pittman), he loves Pitt, and heart (UT).

I wouldn’t be shocked at any, I’d lean Clemson but my gut still says he goes with his heart if Friend and Pruitt can sell the new UT.

This one is over IMO and was too far gone with CJP was hired. Not fair to put any judgment on him for this one.
