I hate when people say this. Yes we can blame him. He's a kid from Knoxville, TN whose father played for the University of Tennessee. He of all people shouldn't care who the coach is. He should be loyal to the university as the son of a VFL.
It would be incredibly weak if he bails now because Butch Jones won't be the coach next year.
Yes, they will sort it out, and they will make what they hope is the best decision for them. That really goes without saying doesn't it?
As for relaxing...really? Why should we relax when Clemson is trying to poach our best recruits?
Neither approach affects anything.
Careful, you will be accused of settling for less than the best.
And for the record, I'm quite relaxed, I just think it's kinda stupid when we justify losing a recruit with "well, he chose what was best for him". Well yay for him, but I'm not a Clemson fan, and neither is Cade. Have enough loyalty to let this play out. When it's clear that choosing UT will damage your career, then act. That time hasn't come yet.
So, are you saying your okay with keeping Butch if Cade stays in the fold?
What's Butch got to do with it? Did Cade commit to Butch or to UT? Is he considering decommiting because Butch is here, or because he might not be? Really isn't clear.
My point simply is that regardless of the outcome, it would be best to let that play out a bit more before bailing, especially for legacy who has been so supportive of the Vols.
And no, we don't need to be keeping a coach to keep a class together. We need to keep a coach because he wins games. I would have been comfortable with 8 or 9 wins this year, if the team lost hard fought games with more talented teams, but the apparent lack of preparedness of the team is really hard to accept. UF was frustrating, but UMASS and UGA were beyond explanation or excuse.
It's gonna be funny when Saban suddenly quits Bama due to health or boredom, and Dabo drops Clemson like a bad habit. The Sabans and Dabos are the exception, not the rule, so next time Clemson goes the well they likely will not be as successful.
Lol. This is hilarious. Many people said the same thing when McElwain took over for Muschamp. Count on Clemson being great for quite awhile. If Dabo does leave them, I would fully expect Clemson to make a home run hire. Not some little coach out of the MAC.
