I haven't seen it said in this thread so I thought I would post.
I think everyone here know I was disappointed by Cade's antics before, during, and after the Maryville game. But Cade really scored a few points in my book with what he did last Friday night at the Catholic game. A football player for Catholic decided to take a knee during the national anthem. Coaches would not be allowed to tell the athlete to stand up in that situation in fear of a lawsuit. So, Cade went over to the player and grabbed him by the shoulder pads and said, "No player will knell for the anthem while I'm on this team." The kid obviously stood up.
So, with that being said, I gained some more respect for Cade last Friday. I chalk up his antics at Maryville as immaturity of his first game as a Senior against a state power. Obviously he could have handled himself better, but my opinion has changes about him somewhat now.
Serious question. How is the family doing these days?
Thanks for not verifying and just spreading crap around about a high school kid. I imagine you are well on your way to a highly successful career in the modern media.
My family? Great! My wife's teaching grade school and still loves it. My two teenage daughters are both in homecoming this weekend, playing soccer and hittin the books.
Hope yours are well.
I'm thinking you might be asking about my friends as well...
Glad to hear your family is doing so well!
I was honestly wondering about your friends family.
They're doing well. I always tried to emphasize... this is good, solid family. Everything that happened will last for many years emotionally but basically all that was of main interest in the media was dropped. Can't take it back though. Very, very hard lesson.
