This sums up my feelings perfectly.. A lot of kids thrive on attention, bad or good. To receive no attention, nothing, is the worst.. That's why I propose we turn this thread into a discussion about lawn maintenance.. I'll go first..
Serious question, what's the best (most effective) way to kill moss?
Also, I got a new stihl leaf blower. The thing is a BEAST...
Yea you can make it to the NFL but you could be a 6th rounder or a 1st rounder depending on the positionTrey Smith came to Tennessee. You think he won't be an NFL player because he came here?
The NFL excuse is weak. If you're good enough, you're going to the league no matter what school you end up at.
This decision just exposed Cade Mays as a front runner.
Whatever. Weve been stealing from UGA for years. They are going to get a couple every once in awhile. Hope he enjoys playing in their cute stadium.
There is a decent chance we won't beat UGA during his time at Georgia. Their roster is better and much deeper than ours right now, this recruiting cycle didn't do anything to change that. Like it or not Kirby hasn't given any indication he isn't going to be a good coach. It's a little unsettling our new coach worked under him when both were at Bama.
Being Negavol, I will agree with this until proven otherwise. But we'll see what happens when he (Kirby) no longer has Richt's players. Significant turnover next year at UGA. Look back at 2013 & 2014, Mizzou was picked to finished like 5th in the east in 2013 and 3rd/4th in 2014. No guarantees that GA is a lock for the ATL till 2019. Now I will probably have to eat my words.
Irony...
You've been beat up more times in this thread than a 92 Datsun and yet, here you are still plugging away. Admirable. Bet you kept the bullies entertained in high school.
Just to set the record straight, no, UGA is not losing a bunch off their roster. Losing 17 scholarship seniors and 12 guys that were 1st string including the punter. Number could rise if Roquan Smith goes pro, everyone else has said they are coming back already.
Respectfully disagree, and called my Georgia buddy to confirm. Hes a good guy and gives me the straight scoop. Its good news for us. Georgia is losing A LOT of starters, talent, and most importantly production in probably 13 Seniors or Juniors leaving early.
Here is the gist of what he gave me with some stats.
Offensively:
Top 2 RBs Chubb and Michel. They accounted for over 2100 rushing yards, 61% of Georgias total rushing yards in 2017.
Top WR Wims. He alone accounted for 40% of Georgias receiving yards.
3 year starter at LT (Wynn) is also gone.
Defensively (8 starters gone):
Starting NT Atkins gone.
All 4 starting LBs gone. (1) Smith will go pro. Butkus Award winner and their best D player. (2) Carter and (3) Bellamy are Seniors. (4) Patrick is a junior but twice suspended, so they think hes gone too.
3 of the 4 starting DBs are Seniors/gone. Davis/Sanders/Parrish.
Punter is a grad student/gone.
It will take my family, your family and all our cousins.. I live on the North slope of a ridge and if it weren't for moss in several places my 'lawn' would not even look green...
I'm with you. Exactly the same scenario. My front yard has a lot of moss particularly up close to the house. They do make commercial moss killer but it comes back. I can't keep grass growing either. I have several large oaks, hickorys and maples around our yard and they suck all the moisture out of the ground in the summertime. I am currently experimenting with zoysia.
Sounds like we're neighbors.. Haa.. I'll have to look into zoysia. I've never heard of it.
Im sure a cupcake like you, someone embarrassed that Tennessee fans might have ill-wishes for a Georgia commit, had plenty of experience with bullying so Ill defer to your expertise here (#ImWithHer).
Are you familiar with RISD, Tommy? Their dedication to athletics and sensitive nature seems like a much more natural fit for you than Tennessee.
My dad had some around his pool. I went over and grabbed some plugs and transplanted them last summer. I did it in the back yard as it gets a little more sun. It all took and I'll probably add some more this spring and put it in the front yard. It's very Hardy and spreads like Bermuda. It will go brown in the winter but that's a trade off I'm willing to make.
