Mount Pleasant?

Tiny Richardson’s old school. Well….one of them
Yeah. The kids got good skill set and size as a freshman, but could greatly benefit from a better school being surrounded by kids on his level and higher. Mt. Pleasant is my alma and while it’s improved, it’s not a place he can reach his full potential. JMO

“I didn’t expect it to come so fast, so it felt, like, unreal at the beginning,” McClure said last week after one of his Tennessee Select 7-on-7 team’s practices at Riverdale High School. “I mean, it feels good to have (the offers).”

“I feel like, if they need a play to happen, I’ll make it,” he said. “If they need me to do a certain thing, I’ll do it. It don’t matter what it is. As long as it’s going to help us, benefit the team and help us win, I’ll do it.

“I can break up a play pretty good — I’ll say that. … I think I can hit.”

“I’m born and raised in Mount Pleasant, but I always liked Alabama,” McClure said. “But Tennessee, they’ve always been, like, my second-favorite team, just because I’m from Tennessee and stuff like that. In Mount Pleasant, everybody loves the Vols.

McClure said he has never been to Tennessee’s campus, but he’s hoping to make it to Knoxville sometime in the coming months. For now, he’s not sure exactly when that might happen.

“Tennessee because it was like my first offer,” McClure said of which early offer has stood out. “It is an SEC school, so it is pretty big, so I was like, ‘wow’. You get that first offer, you are very excited.”
“When I went on my visit, I saw that they communicate a lot,” he said of his early impression of Tennessee. “They like to have fun. They are very competitive, too.”
“He is a funny dude,” McClure said of Heupel. “He was pretty chill when I met him. He smiles a lot, though.”
“I think about the defense,” he said. “Their defense doesn’t get looked at a lot, but their defense is solid. I think it will be better this year, too.”
