TN-Georgia Water Rights Dispute

It’s at times like these when I find it difficult to think of a single positive thing about the state of Georgia.

Except the Braves. I love the Braves almost as much as I do the Vols. But that’s about it.

And the Allman Brothers. Especially the live shows with the Dead from the Filmore. Not that fake studio radio crap.

And that’s about it.

Oh, and REM from the IRS era.

And that really is it, dammit.

Screw Georgia.

Ask yourself a question- if Georgia is playing Bama, who you for ?

I know my answer. Roll …
It'll be an unpopular opinion on here but the Braves suck too. Tennessee born and raised but go Phillies.

Savannah is beautiful. That's about the only nice thing I can say about the state of Georgia.

I lived in Atlanta for 25 years. Georgia is like Germany was from 45 until the Wall came down in 89. Take away the North Atlanta suburbs and the small strip on the coast and the rest is like Alabama and Mssissippi.

Atlanta is like Berlin was. North Atlanta is West Berlin., prosperous and modern. South Atlanta is is a cesspool like East Berlin.

Let’s swap Chattanooga for Savannah straight up. If I didn’t live in Charleston, I’d be in Savannah. SCAD has revitalized downtown Savannah and it’s night and day from the early 2000’s to today.

They will have to legalize road rage for me to defend myself from INSANE drivers all over the metropolitan area before I will consider living close.

Atlanta has stretched up to Gainesville unfortunately. We live about 20 minutes outside of Gainesville, but it's awful now compared to when I moved here.

Don't give them credit for peaches!

South Carolina grows more peaches than Georgia, making it the leading peach producer in the Southern United States and second only to California. While Georgia is famously known as "The Peach State," South Carolina's commercial peach production is significantly higher.

Way down yonder on the Chattahoochee is the nastiest river I’ve ever been on.Maybe we could get a sewage pipeline headed that way to coincide with all flowing out of Atlanta.

Georgia has tried to get water from SC for years. There are several lakes in the Savannah River chain on the border, but apparently Lake Lanier in GA sometimes gets to a level that is unsafe for human use 🤷‍♂️
So, when that happens, they start bellyaching for water from our sources. Like we can help their mismanagement of infrastructure in Atlanta.
Thankfully, our legislators and the Corps kinda squashes that before it gets too far

Georgia has a lot of comely women and bunches of high school athletes. Tennessee recruits Georgia athletes. I’ve lived in Georgia five separate times, five different cities. Metro Atlanta region has good employment opportunities that provide a good standard of living. If Tennessee ever allows Georgia to draw water, let ‘em pay for it.
