TN fans blindsided but not Hart.

It wouldn't go over well at first , that's for sure. I think he is going to eventually be a successful coach at a BCS school. Why not UT?

Because like I already said people were adamant that Tennessee isn't the place to learn on the job, and that's just what he would be doing.

This was a bad marriage from the start. Martin was the anti Pearl in almost every way including hyping the program. From day one if we had an administration with a brain they would have thought about the difference between the two men and should have known fans would be upset. Martin wasn't happy, the fan base was luke warm, and he obviously saw next years disaster and poof. My question is more simple, if the average joe can see this handwriting why couldn't Hart and Cheeks?

Hart at least had a hunch this was coming. CCM showed he was looking around when he sought the job at Marquette. He didn't want to be at UT and Hart knew it. He got his feelings hurt when the team was underachieving and the fans were not happy. Until then he couldn't motivate his players to defend or run the offense until the players decided to rally around their coach. Hart was not caught off guard by this.
