Not being argumentative but that makes no sense.

If 25 is the limit to sign and bring in it doesn't add up to count his spot forward but not a scholarship. Makes no sense


With what is being said here we should ne able to sign 25 next year

George, Davis, Kennedy count against next year’s 25 man CLASS. But they won’t count against the maximum 25 NEW scholarships allowed next season. Lawless counted against this past season’s 23 spots, but since he didn’t enroll his scholarship was available for Kennedy to use this season. Peterson would make it 25 new scholarships THIS academic year.

A player can count toward next years 2019 class numbers but still count toward the 25 new scholarship players on the roster in a calendar year this year.

We’re not going to be able to sign 25 for next SEASON’s class. But we can still do three blueshirts counting against 20.

If you can't count forward or backward why was 23 the limit this season?

Ok I am trying to understand but I can't see why you would count it one way and then the other as well

We can’t count backwards anymore...NCAA shut that down. We were at 23 because Shaq Wiggins took one as a GT and Princeton Fant took another as a blueshirt the previous year. The last year you could have more than 25 new scholarships in an academic year.

Except that they already officially released him and don't appear to want him on the team. Otherwise they would have waited a day or two until they dismissed Thaxton to see if he wanted that spot. They knew about Thaxton before they officially released Lawless. So relevant only in curiosity. Lawless will not be on this team.
