Let's play what if here, because I don't think there are many facts that ultimately lead to this conclusion, but what IF Oku's decision to delay his signing has something to do with Potential Players?

The thing with Oku is that it just doesn't add up. The dude isn't afraid of competition as has been suggested -unless for some reason recruiting a totally different style back turned him off:crazy: - he committed AFTER Jarvis Giles who was a very similar back to himself and also very highly rated plus, as has been mentioned, Auburn has an incoming class of 4 RB's although they all will not likely end up at RB.

It wasn't the coaching change - not the head coach anyway - he stayed firmly committed well after the change and publicly stated he was excited about it.

He never really indicated that Drayton leaving would cause him to question his commitment like some other recruits clearly did either.

Someone placed a seed of doubt in this kid's mind somewhere along the way. Otherwise the visits to Syracuse and Auburn never happen.

So the wild card in this COULD be Brian Butler. Is it mere coincidence that his two most highly-rated players decided to wait until the 11th hour to make a decision on where to attend college? I'm starting to wonder. Granted PP doesn't stand to gain a whole lot other than the name recognition by this move, but by Oku's own admission he “(hasn't) even thought about making a decision.” Neither has Brown apparently.

Orson Charles is different, he has more understandable reasons for the delay. Kwame Geathers was holding out for a UGA offer. That's truth.

Jack, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

So we're still spreading unsubstantiated rumors? False ones at that... Did you see post 2820, Eric? Oku doesn't have a preggers GF nor did anyone in the media ever say such. It was never even confirmed by Crabtree that he was moving because of his GF. He never heard that straight from Oku and when he asked him, Oku denied it fully.

If CLK wants Oku then I want Oku. I think our staff knows alot more about the situation then we do. I hope Orson Charles doesn't read this and get the wrong idea. I'm guessing several of the kids we signed this year have also made a few mistakes and had a hard time deciding on where they wanted to go to school. If this is your opinion then fine but don't say "we" like your speaking for all of us.

No it doesn't. They may meet girls but if they have sex with a hostess or University employee you can bet other schools will find out and report it. This is what happened with Danny Ford at Clemson years ago. Their escorts were sleeping with recruits. The admin claimed to have no knowledge but it didn't matter.

Oddly enough.... Monte Kiffin, the NCSU coach at the time, turned him in and had a confrontation with Ford at the 50 yard line following a Clemson win over the Pack.

Nebraska has very good public schools. That or his parents may be getting him away from bad influences and distractions.

I dont care what this kid is stating publicly, moving just a few months from graduation is bizarre. Im willing to bet that there is more to this story.

I agree from his hometown to Lincoln is 6.5 hours away. There has to be some nice schools closer to home than that. It doesn't make much sense. There is more to this story that what is being told or has it already been told?

Anyone else hear Jeremy Crabtree say that UT has backed off Oku? I could see the coaching staff letting him rot on the vine with his mind games.

If you couldn't tell I was being sarcastic this morning then I don't know what to tell you. It happens more often than not though, it's just not a wide scale as it used to be.

New article on scout cites Oku's reason for transfering is to take a class that he needs to qualify for College. I'm assuming that he must have been failing this class at Carl Albert. And I wasn't aware that Ole Miss was added to his final list, but they aparently are. He may go on an official to Oxford before it is said and done.

He has been on all 5 officials, he can't go visit anymore.
