I think it is critical to land Brown because it sends a message to future recruits and all SEC schools. We arent playing around anymore. It shows everyone that we are going to go after the very best year in and year out.

Surely this is just a rumor about Oku getting his hostess pregnant, right? If this is true, no wonder the kid has appeared to have lost his mind. If this would have happened to me at that age, I would have probably acted a little crazy as well.

What??? WE??? Not me!!! Do you think we don't already have players on the team with kids? Sure it's not the smartest thing Oku's ever done but let the coaches decide who they want or don't want. If CLK wants Oku then I want Oku. I think our staff knows alot more about the situation then we do. I hope Orson Charles doesn't read this and get the wrong idea. I'm guessing several of the kids we signed this year have also made a few mistakes and had a hard time deciding on where they wanted to go to school. If this is your opinion then fine but don't say "we" like your speaking for all of us.

IMO if Oku has a girl prego then he will not be coming here. I am still wondering what Bryce is goin to do. Too bad he didn't knock up his hostess here lol JK. My excitement for UT wants us to land all 3 guys but I really hope we get atleast 1. I will only be disappointed with 0-3 on these guys.

WHen is OC announcing? next week? Sorry I know this isn't his thread but I hate goin through all the garbage on his thread.

It is very obvious this kid has moved to Nebraska to be with his girlfriend whether she is pregnant or not. I find it hard to believe that there is not a school in Oklahoma that offers the same type of classes. This kid has serious issues. I would still take him, but he has issues.

If we do get him, are we going to be talking about how much better our offense is going to be or are we going to be placing bets on when this kid going to F' up?

"It's a better school, and it's a better situation for me personally," Oku said. "This won't affect my recruiting at all. Nebraska has been a school I looked at before I moved. It doesn't mean since I moved up here I'll be going to Nebraska. I still got all of the other schools that I'm looking at."

Oku strongly denied he was moving to Nebraska because his girlfriend, who he reportedly met on an official visit to Nebraska, was pregnant.

"I honestly moved because at this school I'm given more classes and will better help me prepare for college," Oku said.

This guy needs a fan base like ours who is accustomed to dealing with some off-field issues.

I don't know the real story but here's a couple of thoughts.

one, nebraska has one of the best public school systems in the country. NU has one of the better track records for running a clean program and working with trouble recruits.

that said, if he had sex with any school employee or rep while a recruit that constituts a major infraction even if officials didn't know about it... (institutional control issue)

concerning UT, you are crazy if you think UT shouldn't try to sign him. that other noise sounds like the echo of sour grapes. they would have been stoked if Oku or Brown were considering their school.
