I hope your right... I was extremely excited about Oku..

And I'm very skeptical about this now found excitement for Trent Richardson and And Bryce Brown..

Dont think we have much chance so it would hurt to lose Oku

This makes him look better to me. It makes him look smart. He WANTS to come to TN but he also wants to play. He knows this is a business and he is making sure he does not get left with nothing to fall back on. No Problems

That would suck to lose Oku. If anything, he should be reconfirming his commitment with the hiring of Gran considering Gran's track record of coaching guys into the NFL.

He spoke with Butch after Fulmer was let go and before Kiffin came onboard. Was concerned we would hire a coach that wanted to run the spread.

So since we didn't hire the guy you speak of, why is he listed as having interest?? Something is a miss here and I am not sure what is going on. Just doesn't feel right.

That's why I feel everyone is soft until NSD... unless you enroll in Jan of course. I hope there isn't anything more to this however.

Before we hired Kiffin Oku said he wouldn't be interested in UT if UT hired a coach who ran the spread. Kiffin doesn't run the spread and Oku's reaffirmed his commitment. All is well:eek:k:

Rumors have been swirling that Tennessee commitment David Oku from Midwest City (Okla.) Carl Albert will be taking an official visit to North Carolina this weekend, but sources tell me that's not the case. Oku also has been linked with Cal recently, as well as a few other schools, and could take one more official visit before making his decision. But it looks as if he will stick with his commitment to Tennessee.

This guy is the jewel in the current commits, imo. Hope the rumors are all wishful thinking on their parts.
