TN Commit David Oku

It amazes me that we are still pullling in commits right now; honestly, would you be attracted to UT's football program right now? Bama has to look pretty damn good to highschool players

Immediate playing time at a school known for its football program.

You have to think these kids are smart enough to know that either CPF will still be there and he's put a lot of people in the NFL or a new coach will come in and start with a clean slate.

See Notre Dame 2007.

We have a couple 2-3 stars at my high school that my coach has used very poorly, but the our long snapper who is being recruited by Illinois, Michigan, OSU, and Memphis says if he gets a Bama Offer he would most likely accept it. He wants to go to a winning team, and contribute and Bama needs a Snapper, and they are bound for National Glory every year from here on out. Kind of Pisses me off, half the stuff he says about bama is just to piss me off at this point. The other 2 are going to Northern Illinois.......I got crap from them at halftime last weekend also.

Carl Albert senior David Oku says he's headed to the University of Tennessee. In an exclusive interview with Fox 25, Oku said the decision wasn't difficult and that he simply felt more comfortable with Phil Fulmer and the entire Tennessee coaching staff. Rivals.com rates the 5'10", 185-pound running back as a four-star recruit. Oku was also considering Nebraska, Michigan and Louisville. Oku, who was wearing a black Tennessee cap, made his declaration directly after rushing for 151 yards and two touchdowns during Friday night's 27-14 win over Shawnee. Like all verbal commitments, Oku's pledge is non-binding. Signing day for high school football players is February 4, 2009.

man, with him and Askew going to commit.. this could put us in the top ten in the team rankings on rivals..
especially if Hollins will end up being another 4 star like many project..

If Nunes hadn't left, we would prolly be top 8 or so.. but o well

watched Oku play tonight and he finished with 126 yards on 26 carries. most of his runs were short ones but he did manage to break off two pretty big runs but he was facing the #1 high school in Oklahoma so that may have had something to do with it

I haven't seen anything official stating that this was for sure going to happen today! Is it or not?
