TN Commit David Oku

You are right JRod. I also talked with him at the Orange & White game. He seems like a great guy. The stud dual threat QB also seemed to have a great head on his shoulders. His brother is the high rated WR we got.

I think you're talking about Malik Stokes, brother of Je'ron Stokes.

Isn't Oku and Marlon Brown going to the game against the gators? What a big big game for us!!!

i just watched Okus tape on rivals and was it me or did he look slow? i didnt see the burst i saw in giles and thigpens tapes. take a look for yourself. i hope Oku just plays agains higher competition so faster players.

rivals has him at 4.49

pretty damn fast

true but its about the game speed thats where it counts. rivals had poole at 4.6 and we know he is faster then that

Exactly, Game Speed is much diffrent. Rogan may run a 4.6, but his quickness it what makes him so good.

Emmit Smith and Jerry Rice come to mind, who ran 4.7 40's and had HOF careers.

David Oku has adjusted his visit list and is planning to make his decision in October. His final four schools are Louisville, Florida State, Tennessee and Nebraska. Here's his official

•Aug. 31 — Louisville hosts Kentucky
•Sept. 6 — Florida State hosts Western Carolina
•Sept. 20 — Tennessee hosts Florida
•Sept. 27 — Nebraska hosts Virginia Tech

no offical visit on his list will match the electricity of at Vol vs UF game

Nothing will even come close to the atmosphere provided by his official to Tennessee. That being said, I think that could play a role in his decision and give us a better chance with him.

With the exception of the Neb/VT game it seems the other teams are bringing him in on surefire wins. I can see where this would be good to leave with the feeling of being recruited by a winner, but the atmosphere has got to suck.

I think we're bringing him in for a sure fire win.

So what happens if we land Oku? do we leave both him and Jarvis in the backfield or is one of them up for a change of position? Hardesty will be a senior Creer will be a junior and Poole will be a sophmore but i guess too much talent in the backfield is a good problem to have.

the staff really likes where we stand with him and it appears that he beleives his ability is second to none.

happy now?

Sorry, the sarcasm is dripping out today, I know what it meant.

Back on topic, what are our chances with Oku in % and whose our closest competition in your opinion?

If he signs, we are going to have quite the small RB lineup in a couple of years with him and Giles.
