TN Commit David Oku

If you see him commiting before Oku, do you have a guess as to when he commits to us?

He'll be in Tennessee visiting family the weekend of June 14th...he'll also be visiting UT on that weekend...It's possible that he could be blown away by the visit and commit then.

Giles would be big. I dont think I am informed enough to decide who would be better besides looking at what Rivals says and others who have seen both of them play.
RB isnt a huge need for us but you always want to have at least 1 or 2 a year.
I am looking forward to some defensive commits.

Guys,

Giles has stated publicly that UT is #1. There were also rumors that he silented a few weeks ago.

Granted, nothing is for sure until the paperwork is signed, but I think we have Giles's verbal commitment before the season even starts.

And I'd take Giles over Oku, but either would be excellent.

Jay, spot on - exactly what I was going to say.

I just re-read Oku's story on VQ from after he visited. I'm not so sure a Giles commitment would scare him away.

Oku gave the visit a 9.5/10, and said he loved how when he visited, he was greeted with open arms and felt like a family.

He also talked about how Eric Berry acted like they were best friends. Eric Berry is our best recruiter, and he needs to be the primary host when recruits visit.

Oku also said he would eliminate a school if they pressured him to commit before he's ready (December). Fulmer and Co. don't do that, so that's another good sign.

I think it's quite possible that Giles and Oku could both come here, but that leaves Toney Williams in a weird spot.

It's a done deal then. That is my birthday and awesome stuff always happens on my birthday.

We can't go wrong with either Oku or Giles, although, I believe Giles will verbal sooner thus eliminating Oku.

I would take either but I am really hoping for Oku. I have watched all the videos of both Oku and Giles and Oku really impresses me the most. It looks like the line Giles ran behind would blow open huge holes and he would just use his speed to break long runs. Oku on the other hand is extremely shifty, strong, catches the ball well and also has good speed. He is just a great all purpose back.
