Jaren Sensabaugh - Ensworth - CB
Jaren Sensabaugh on Hudl

Vanderbilt commitment Jaren Sensabaugh, who is the son of former Dallas Cowboy Gerald Sensabaugh, has had a nice senior season at Ensworth and is someone Tennessee is evaluating. We wouldn’t be surprised to see him in for a game.

2024 CB Jaren Sensabaugh was in town. He has several other trips planned to see new schools this fall, and he very well could be back to Tennessee at some point. Feels like Vanderbilt is just hanging on there. But there are a lot of new schools showing interest as his recruitment is blowing up. He has hit it off well with Willie Martinez.

Sensabaugh is out of Ensworth and is a HIGH academic kid with offers from Stanford Duke Northwestern and GT. Recently offered by WVU too.

Has bounced around the state, which is weird. Played junior season at Knoxville (Tenn.) Catholic and sophomore season at Kingsport (Tenn.) Dobyns-Bennett.

“Sensabaugh missed much of his junior season with a broken collarbone, resulting in that incomplete tape. This offseason, Sensabaugh worked with Legacy Football Academy as well as trainer Charles Petrone in Knoxville, Tenn., to get bigger, faster and stronger. Sensabaugh ran a 4.61-second 40-yard dash at NC State along with a 4.19-second shuttle.”

Sounds like his senior tape is getting out and he’s becoming a legit prospect. Methinks Vandy is going to have a hard time keeping him whether or not we make a move.

Ummm, yeah. Unless the kid just really wants to go to Vanderbilt for the academics, I don't see them holding onto him. Whether the Vols pursue him or not, he's probably going somewhere else.

The bouncing around is somewhat tied to his dad. Let's just say dad has a way of aggravating coaches by being "outspoken".

Hopefully, the Vols stay away. Kid has been at 3 different schools. He was at Dobyns Bennett, then his dad Gerald Sensabaugh made a big scene during basketball season. Gerald was stating the team wasn't ever going to win anything and they ended up winning state that year. His dad came up to the school taking down his picture from the football fieldhouse and just embarrassed himself. Gerald thought he deserved more influence because he was a former pro athlete. Went to Catholic last year and it seems like Gerald was still trying to have influence. Now they are at Ensworth.

Everyone in Northeast Tennessee knew they wouldn't last at Catholic and would end up in Nashville for Jaren's senior year because Gerald can't stop going places getting involved and causing problems.

Yes, 100% tied to his dad who is toxic.
Wouldn’t be as much an issue in college bc he would be told to hit the bricks. Hate to judge a kid on his parents actions. That said if it’s as bad as people say might be good for him to get out of the state for a while and be his own man without his father’s meddling.

There was someone who posted on here last year whom was close to his family, said Nolen was turned off by Rodney Garner’s coaching style.

NIL was the factor but that also played a part in his decision to leave state.

Surely we aren’t seriously going after this guy
Not sure how serious our interest is but he has picked up more offers since mid season film has gotten out. He has NFL bloodlines with his dad Gerald and cousin Coty playing in the league. If we somehow have room it prolly would hurt to take a flier on this kid.

Maybe as a PWO. With his offer list I cannot see how we could use a scholarship on him.

Some have beaten me to it but the bouncing around is a lot his dad's fault.
Gerald was a coach at a local HS and had them doing pretty well but got fired because he was causing too many headaches.
He did do Facebook live videos at one point but honestly just spent most of the time trashing coaches not just from DB but pretty much every school in the area.
The kid isn't worth the trouble his dad brings Imo.

Pass, I know his dad and Grandfather. They are very troubled.

Gerald left the NFL because the Cowboys wanted him to play special teams. He lost out of retirement because he is stubborn.

Grandfather robbed a store that he went to everyday and didn't expect them to know who he is because he had a mask on.

I can keep going about the family, but I will not. One side is a great family, but this one does not know how to act right.

Too much baggage

So the kid doesn’t deserve a chance because his grandfather robbed a store?
