TN can make a STATEMENT.

Wow. There, you said it! Some reason in the midst of the crazy.

It's unreal that folks are under here actually "know" what Pruitt needs to do and not do. 99.8% around here couldn't make a single QB read on any given play correctly. But, by gawd, we know how to administrate those who do.

But, I regress. I'm thankful for free speech.

Here's hoping that CJP and CPF land a home run. Home run being a guy that in 2 years has our offense competing for the SEC. Don't care who ... can't read a defense.
It's the height of fan ego to think you can be more right about something as nuanced as an assistant coach hire than the damn head coach.

If it is Friend that is fine with me, but the leash on this coaching regime will need to have a shorter leash on it as this is a decision that cannot be botched (I wanted to say Butched up, but I didn’t want the grammar police to come after me) up.

Failure should not and cannot be tolerated at this point in time.
You've got a leash on a leash; no need to worry about the grammar nahtzee.

UT lately hasn't even taken the bunt, that would mean we actually gave an effort. we have been more closely represented by being struck by the pitch and limp our way on base.
Or hitting a dribbler back to the pitcher and pulling a hammy running to first

Our next OC, has to be HOME-RUN hire.
If we want to make a statement and be competitive like Bama we need to be THAT TEAM where the top minded football coaches go to.
If we take an up and comer or promote within inside, we will keep sliding down.
I'm pulling for Kilff right now.
Kiff would probably benefit both professionally & personally by taking orders from a straight shooter like CJP for a while...

What is this obsession with Lane Kiffen? He has struggled at every place he has been. He still acts very childish and his results have not been good for awhile. The results at BAMA don't count...the were good before he came and no worse if not better after he left. He is in his third or fourth year at FAU and they ended the year 5-7. What screams gotta have him there. This along with his NCAA baggage is not worth it.

I hope we can. I get hyped but when I think what Tennessee has done in past and head coaches I just expect them to sh!t the bed.

I fully expect that we pull a 2A Christian High School OC from the midstate.

If you're going to go "Tennessee", go big.

I'm not totally writing Tee Martin off. Dude can recruit offense and we need offensive lineman and an SEC caliber QB baaaaad. Between CJP and T we might actually upgrade enough that their coaching "em up" and play calling can get it done. Yes, Kiffin, Petrino, Miles, and others could probably get it done, I don't trust them. I am barely trusting all the UGA, Bama, and other coaches we have leading the Volunteers these days. Peyton would be my perfect OC....then maybe Tee.

More like we got hit by the pitch then called out for leaning out over the plate.

Kiffin Is already a head coach who will have opportunities at a major program. There is zero incentive for him to come here and that is why he will not be offered.
