Our next OC, has to be HOME-RUN hire.
If we want to make a statement and be competitive like Bama we need to be THAT TEAM where the top minded football coaches go to.
If we take an up and comer or promote within inside, we will keep sliding down.
I'm pulling for Kilff right now.

An OC hire wont put us in that stratosphere. I get what youre saying. But making the right hire can make us get back in front of Vanderbilt, Missouri, South Carolina and Florida and getting back to striking distance of where Georgia is.

Wow. There, you said it! Some reason in the midst of the crazy.

It's unreal that folks are under here actually "know" what Pruitt needs to do and not do. 99.8% around here couldn't make a single QB read on any given play correctly. But, by gawd, we know how to administrate those who do.

But, I regress. I'm thankful for free speech.

Here's hoping that CJP and CPF land a home run. Home run being a guy that in 2 years has our offense competing for the SEC. Don't care who ... can't read a defense.

I just feel like the longer we are waiting to get a name the more likely it is that Pruitt already had someone in mind AKA its gotta be Friend right?

If it comes after the early signing period it's going to be "who" or Friend. The closer we get to the early signing days we'll know the hire isn't going to excite anyone.

We need to be competitive with Flori-Georgia before we try to take on Bama. Mullen and Smart arenā€™t gonna wake up one day and forget how to coach.

indeed so we better hire someone not who we think is a diamond in the rough with potential, but a battle tested winner. Freeze is one of the few in my mind that fits that billing

Yeah, I said the same thing somewhere. It is an opportunity to say, "We're making big time changes in our pursuit for success!" .

This post is begging for a reassessment. I can't bring myself to mention the 2-3 teams we need to begin being competitive with before going after UGA and UF. :-(

If it is Friend that is fine with me, but the leash on this coaching regime will need to have a shorter leash on it as this is a decision that cannot be botched (I wanted to say Butched up, but I didnā€™t want the grammar police to come after me) up.


Failure should not and cannot be tolerated at this point in time.

I guess we need to define what is a home run hire. Everyone has a different opinion on what that is. I can't imagine that CJP would go after Kingsbury, because he is the exact opposite of the smash mouth pro style that CJP wants to run.
